Good Hot Read

The narrator was ok but she didn't do other voices well... the storyline was a bit weak BUT it was still good... The sex... well HOTTTTTT DAMN

Lovely Erotica, but not my favorite

This book was EXTREMELY erotic, and interesting. However I'd say 99% of the action takes place in the character's heads. I liked that the writer took us on an emotional journey, and I liked the book in general.

I guess I just wanted more plot than this book really had. Most of the plot was just an excuse to get some people naked together, and that's fine, but if you're expecting an exciting mystery AND sex, I'm here to warn you it is mostly just sex. (Very hot kinky sex, but still, sex.)

at first

it seemed too predictable to stretch over so many hours. I was wrong. The final chapter needed to be nearly half over before all the stories were reconciled, solved, and forgiven. Try it. You'll like it

good story

over all this was a good story. there were buts that were a little darker than i tend to enjoy but once past those it was a good story

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

It was well worth the read. There were more than a few moments when your were like OMG

It's no Fifty Shades... But will do.

Any additional comments?

Ever since reading the FSG trilogy, it's been a little hard to find books that are comparable. This book was good, but tame by comparison, though had I never read the FSG books, I would have been more shocked by this novel, but it doesn't delve into the BDSM nearly as much, so if that's what you are looking for, it's ok, but won't knock your socks off. It's good, when you need a smut book, it will do the trick. I did not care for the narrator, usually takes a couple chapters to get into a narrator or new book, but I am on the second book of this series, Decadent, and I'm just not that into her.

Enjoyed....Unexpected Climax

The story was entertaining and steamy. The narrator did an awesome job. I enjoyed getting to know and understand what the characters were thinking. It made me feel as if they were real people. The sex scenes were vividly explained.

Not for me

If you like the kind of book with a female character that goes back and forth with I never want you to touch me - why aren't you touching me, I never want to see you again - why did you leave me, I want this exact fantasy - why did you think I wanted that, you might like this. Drives me crazy, and makes the female character too stupid. This type of relationship is all rules, regulations, dress codes, commands and punishment, and ALL that talking. And safe words - like these people don't understand no, stop, and I don't like that. The story line is a small part of the book, the rest is the female character saying don't touch me - have sex, I don't like this - have sex, never touch me again - have sex, I'm leaving - have sex. Talk about mixed messages.

SEXY AND A GREAT STORY TOO!!

The Cajun accents were the first thing that was different about this story that immediately captured my attention. This narrator was excellent. AND the storyline was excellent! The lead man was so seductive and non-repentant. The back & forth feelings that both characters struggled with and thought they were sure about only to change with a new perspective.....I automatically bought her second book in this series.
