Call it what it is: erotica

Really good erotica with decent narration (voices could have been more varied). The story itself was lacking - and parts of the book that weren't all about sex were exceptionally cheesy. The author did cover some important themes, but the story was so segmented and random that they mostly caused me to roll my eyes. If you want to read erotica, read this. It covers a wide array of sexual fantasies. If you want a good romance novel, this is definitely not it.

Hot stuff

The book was very enjoyable. However the narrator took a little getting used to as the voices of the characters were very similar and hard to differentiate. The story itself was simple in its theme but did have some unusual elements. The concept of the first meeting was different. The sex scenes long and drawn out but in a good way. I thoroughly recommend this book but definitely needs to be listened to in private. Really hot stuff.

I like how the story started out. And the 13 hours referred to in the title are almost the best part.

The narrator didn’t have distinct voices for any of the characters, but her tone got the tone of the book. And she spoke distinctly, which is necessary for some of us.

Would you consider the audio edition of Thirteen Hours to be better than the print version?

I loved the audio version and I just purchased the book to add to my collection.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Loved both the protagonists, such different personalities but they fit together so well.

This is an engaging book that has some extremely HOT scenes. The narrator has a great voice and did a fantastic job reading the book! Didn't expect a great deal from the book but loved it and going to buy more by this author.

Hot and sexy

Love it! I’ve read the book and loved it, but now the story really comes to life and OMG some hot sex scenes. The narrator really brings the story to life and makes it even better. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

Holy f**k, that’s hot!

They spent 13 hours stuck in an elevator. I spent half that simmering along with them!

This is erotica with enough writing and storytelling skill to be a lesbian romance too. As implausible as the premise is, it feels like yes, in this unlikely situation, with these particular people, these events could really happen.

It is not PG. It is not vanilla.
It is unapologetic, unashamed female sexuality and a sweet love story.

Alicyn Aimes does such a good job with the dialogue and emotion, it is a bit odd how flat the storytelling in between comes across. Almost seems like it was done deliberately. Before the end I wondered if she was an alter ego of another audible narrator. This recording is nearly a decade old. I could see this voice evolving into that one. But that’s just my idle speculation.

Others have complained about her narration, but I enjoyed her voice. I enjoyed the characters she created from Meghan O’Brien’s words.

I know I will be adding this to my favorites and listening again.
