After her longtime boyfriend dumps her, Kristy craves a change in her life. Her best friend, Sherry, is into the BDSM scene, and on a whim and a bet, Kristy finds herself in the playroom at an exclusive club. A disguised Dom named Master Jay uses sensation play and a piece of silk to help her discover the world of kink. She finds it enjoyable and addictive, but what she doesn't know is that Master Jay is really Jake, a much younger man to whom she's strongly attracted.
For the past couple of years, Jake quietly watched Kristy in his gym. He doesn't care that she's older than him; he wants her. When the virgin BDSM sub he's hired to train ends up being Kristy, Jake almost falls apart. During the scene they play at the club, he fantasizes about getting her into restraints in his own playroom. But Kristy is shocked when she learns that the two men she desires are one and the same.
Can Kristy, who's led a vanilla sex life, and Jake, who knows nothing but kink, find a future together?

I'm proud to be a bookaholic...addicted, obsessed, passionate!!! My favorite way to relax & escape reality....
I didn't expected to like this book but I honestly did. Christy is 40yrs old recently broken up with boyfriend. Her friend convinces her to experience a session at the kinky sex club with master J. Christy ends up really enjoying being submissive. Ironically, Master J. Is secretly her personal trainer/ landlord. Jack has had a thing for her for a long time. This book was Sizzling Hot Hot Hot. I'm not usually turned on by bdsm scenes but this story definitely worked for me. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this book. Credit well spent.
I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.
This one does get the blood to pumpimg. There's plenty of BDSM play going on plus the characters are falling in love. That always makes a better erotic story. The lead female character is older and that's a issue for her. The lead male has emotional issues and that adds depth to his character too. The narrator in this one does not do a great job for me. He does ok in some areas but in others he is just awful. All in all I did like the story. Even with the not so great narration I did think it was a HOT erotic tale and I do think my credit was well spent. Just remember that this is Erotica and if taken in that context you should enjoy this one.
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
What a lucky find in this! Wow. I so was not expecting this. This has depth and drama in the the story plus a little bit of kink thrown in. It was pretty good. Performance was ok... First time I listen to Ghost Jones in narration, and this was my first Paige story... but this was really really good. The smexing was really hot. I didn't like the role reversal at the end, and that why overall this is a 3 not a 4.
A good credit.
Take a look it's in a book...Reading Rainbow!
This is a multi-layered BDSM Club romance. It isn't all in the club but has plenty of scene time happening. It has bits of BDSM 101, but that is expected when one of the characters is a newbie.
Lots of hot and smexy scenes!! All sorts of sexy happening, self pleasure, voyeurism and some hawt scenes! This is not one for the faint of heart. Good lord you may need a cold shower after.
Kristy and Jake have a great dynamic, the cougar this is minimal. They are very back and forth, but once things really hit off it is all good.
The book comes from many POV, it is more than just the leads giving narrative. This helps you get into everybody's head. The mix gives the reader a broader perspective on what is happening and how the key players feel.
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Ghost Jones. While he was great with the male voices and generally narration, the women we high and whiny. It made it difficult to enjoy the narration. He has a great pace and kept the book moving swiftly. I think he would do better to mellow out the ladies or perhaps do only male narration.
This series seems to be more real life romance, meaning it has bumps and issues you don't see in typical romances. I can not wait to see what is up with Roxi and Jonathan!!
