In previous books in the Marketplace series, listeners have gone behind the scenes at a slave auction, an owner's home, a trainer's house, and even the ephemeral world of the annual trainers' Academy. In The Reunion, we visit a vacation resort for a Marketplace "family" gathering, where slaves, former slaves, trainers, and their spouses, significant others and family members can relax, let their hair down, and connect with each other. But the "reunion" that matters most is that of Robin Cassidy (the slave from The Slave) and her first trainer, Chris Parker (the trainer from The Trainer).
Of course the vacation resort isn't just any resort, it's Kaleigh Castle, a centuries-old Irish castle that is now a luxury hotel and happens to be where Chris learned many of the skills and practices that have made him so sought-after in the Marketplace. And while everyone enjoys their two most favorite indoor sports - gossip and sex - trouble is afoot. A nosy tabloid reporter thinks he's onto something: a real-life international slave trading ring. Can Chris keep the world from learning the truth about The Marketplace, but accept the truth about his feelings regarding Robin, Anderson, and Jiro at the same time?

In just a few chapters I felt in love with Cayley the way I fell in love with Hogwarts. I love getting to know Chris more, and all of the Reunion guests. I hope that Laura writes another Reunion or another book that is based at Cayley.
Elizabeth Jasicki is excellent and consistent in her voices for the characters across the books.
Long live Chris Parker!
I really love the narration. There are a lot of characters in this book, and Elizabeth Jasicki is excellent at capturing the slightest changes in her voice so that you know who is speaking, even before the words are read.
She is an excellent narrator in this series.
This is my favorite so far of the Marketplace books. Laura Antoniou has written each book to capture a specific view of the Marketplace, from the view points of different people involved while still moving the story forward. The Reunion was slave-centric and introduced a lot of rich and like-able characters, while giving us a deeper look into Chris Parker's past. Bravo!!

I love that Elizabeth Jasicki is the reader for this series. She has captured the characters beautifully & her accents are spot on
Laura's work is, as always, riveting & imaginative with just the right amount of fiction & truth woven together. I can't wait for book 6 of the series to be released.
I loved it.Best part has to be when Anderson's true colors come out, wicked man.
Intrigue, reconnection, growth
The last Beauty book Beauty's Kingdom
There were parts that made me giggle and parts that made me cry. There were parts that made me say out loud as I was hearing them "Yeah you asshat that dont you get it!"
