Publisher's summary

Dr. Joyce Yards has never met anyone as sexy or as irresistible as 466. He refuses to discuss anything except getting her naked beneath him. Their therapy sessions are growing hotter, his raw hunger for her is becoming aggressive, and she is falling for him. Joy knows the dire consequences if she gives in to desire. It will break her heart but she must walk away.

Moon has been drugged. He is feral and dangerous to everyone. The NSO doctors turn to the only female Moon ever cared about - the one who left him in the desert two years ago.

Moon isn’t the same male Joy once knew but she is willing to put her life on the line for him. There are no rules now. If sex tames the wild beast and triggers his fractured memories, allowing him moments of lucidity, then Joy will give him her body and her soul. She’ll do whatever it takes to save him.

Enjoyable.....

Would you listen to Moon again? Why?

I would listen to this over and over again. It is definitely a cliff hanger. Moon (466) is a great character and Joy (Joyce) made it very intriguing.

What did you like best about this story?

You would never guess the ending at all.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Vanessa Chambers?

The narration was kind of weird but I would listen again. I'm guessing when she tries to do the manly voice, it didn't come out to well.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

MOON!

Any additional comments?

Love this book. You should listen to it.

So Much Love for the NSO!

My love for New Species started way back in book One Fury and a body would think that by book 10 my love would have waned. That is SO NOT the case!

Ms Dohner is still keeping things fresh and interesting. Granted this book is not like the other books in the series because of the flashbacks but if you are fascinated by all things NSO then it is an interesting look into what happened AFTER they'd been freed from Mercile.

I CAN'T WAIT for book 11 True!!!

This series story is like the others still the fight/conflict scenes are great & there is very descriptive sex scenes. If you enjoyed the other books, you will enjoy this one.

This was really different, exciting, very very hot, but super sweet also. Ms Dohner always creates such different storylines.

I want a Moon!

What did you love best about Moon?

Talk about an Alpha male with problems.

What other book might you compare Moon to and why?

The Pamala Palmer series.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

One shrink telling another shrink off.

Any additional comments?

I was not impressed with the narration. I think that there just was not enough variation in the voices to make the characters come alive. I was really disappointed in that. Thou, I have read all the books in this series and was really looking forward to hearing their sultry purrs and the New Species were blunt and not varied. Felt like the narrator was distancing themself from the male charactors. If the male parts where given to a different narrator then this whole series could have come out better. That said, do give them a try and read the books. They are page turners.

Over the Moon! 🌝

I really enjoyed Moon. It was another great addition in the New Species series. It was a little lighter in the Sex department than other NS book and we don't get the first sex scene until almost 50% point.

As always the narration is superb. A true joy to listen to. Good sex scenes. All in all a very great listen. Well worth the time and money! 🐾

Moon and his Joy!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: ❤️💙💚💜
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 🤓😉🤨😊
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Solo Narration

The heroine: Dr. Joyce Yards - she is a psychologist who was in charge of the New Species when they were first rescued from the research facilities of Mercile Industries. One of the patients she had trouble with was #466. He would rarely talk in his sessions until one day he started talking about the fact that he wants to have sex and can’t find anyone to have it with. He was making Joy uncomfortable and wouldn’t stop. He started telling her just what he would like to do to her in every session. She found that she was attracted to him and couldn’t handle him, so she quit.

The Hero: Moon (a.k.a. 466) - He is New Species and is one of the most easy-going males that anyone has ever met. He is good friends with many of the other New Species and some of the human workers as well. However, in the attack on Reservation, he was shot with a tranquilizer dart which contained some kind of experimental drug from Mercile which completely changed him and made him feral. He tried to kill other New Species and it took four of them to subdue him.

The Story: it has been more than two years since Joy quit and she is asked to go to Homeland, where the New Species were headquartered, because of an issue with a former client. She finds #466 who has gone completely feral. He is out of control, doesn’t recognize anyone and has to be tranquillized much of the time.

I liked this one because Joy tried to be professional, but she fell for Moon two years back and when she was called back, she just wants to help him out. I liked Moon quite a bit in Obsidian’s book, he was funny and flirty and a good friend to Obsidian. He gave him all kinds of good advice as well. This book also furthers the plot about the former Mercile employees still being up to no good, by creating this new drug.

This book is told in dual points of view via solo narration and was narrated by Vanessa Chambers. Vanessa’s voice is pleasant, and I like her quite a bit. She is terrific at doing different voices for different characters and there are a lot of characters in each of these books, so that can’t be an easy job, but she does it so well.

4.5 Moon Stars

I don’t know why but I always get Moon and Smilie mixed up I keep thinking Moon is primate species but nope he is K9 species.
Once I shook my brain in to submission (just kidding) it was all good.

I very much enjoyed that they brought in a new character from when they were first freed. We get to see a different side of Homeland and Species this way. It wasn't like poof your free here is your own space don’t hurt us. It took months and a lot of care to get them to where they are not.

I like that’s what I liked best about this book. It was also great to see Moon get his HEA. I enjoyed Dr. Joyce I hope they keep her at Homeland and get rid of the other head doctor he was a real TOOL. Yep I needed to state how much I hated that character.

Again, I’m loving the narrator she is amazing. Not only does she do multiple female voices but the way she makes each New Species voice sound so unique it blows me away.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*
