Romantic, liberating and totally addictive, the Fifty Shades trilogy will obsess you, possess you and stay with you forever.
When Ana Steele first encountered the driven, damaged entrepreneur Christian Grey, it sparked a sensual affair that changed both their lives irrevocably. Ana always knew that loving her Fifty Shades would not be easy, and being together poses challenges neither of them had anticipated. Ana must learn to share Grey's opulent lifestyle without sacrificing her own integrity or independence; and Grey must overcome his compulsion to control and lay to rest the horrors that still haunt him.
Now, finally together, they have love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of infinite possibilities. But just when it seems that they really do have it all, tragedy and fate combine to make Ana's worst nightmares come true....

I came to realise by the end of the third book, that this trilogy is all about the love story. The kinky sex is interesting but in the end its all about a desperate, all consuming love that many many people never experience. The kind of love where despite the hardships, a couple really do adore each other and ..........yes....... it does happen. Its also about the female need to save a handsome and esentially good but very damaged man from himself, and see that love does win over in the end. Yes the books are repetivive but to be honest who cares. It was all about heart and I loved them:) Becca Battoe has done a nice job of the reading.
Yes I would recommend this book as a light hearted read on a romantic or relaxing holiday.
Raunchy novel that concludes the trilogy, but you need to finish all three books or the first two books are empty and you are left hanging. I feel the three books would be much better condensed into one book - with less repetitive sex scenes. The sex scenes are very explicit and can make you blush initially, but by the end of the first book they become annoying to listen to and were a little "same old same old". Anna and Christian seemed oversexed and I was tempted to skip past the sex scenes to get to the main story line which was vague until the very end. This book is not for a child's ears.
Repetitive use of certain vocabulary and adjectives and some words get annoying by the end of the three books.
The narrators voice of main character "Anna" took a little getting used to, however it grew on you by the end of the trilogy.
If you start the trilogy you need to finish all tree books to get the benefit of the plot. The books are great for stimulating challenging conversation with close friends or lovers or for stimulating self reflection on our sexual inhibitions and boundaries.
This trilogy was the first listen to Becca Battoe's performances.
Initially I was a little shocked about the sexual explicitness, especially in regard to the dominatrix sex scenes.
love listening to books vampire romance books
still liked the story but wanted more i found it jumped around without finishing the thoughts of the author would have liked more detailed towards the end of the book i think we needed a forth book and although e l James has left us wondering if there will be a further book i would like to know what type of father christian turned out like
Yes i would and actually have, firstly I absolutely loved the book, and secondly i find it so relaxing sitting listening to it.
Christian Grey is my favourite character.
why because right from the start you feel for him as you know he is very troubled and you just wish you could do something to help him.
no this is my first time
Christian Grey, because of the empathy you feel for him, and i would be the envy of every woman who has read the book.
i would really like to read a book from his point of view now, just to explain how he felt about it all.
A subject that is not usually spoken about, but these books are written brilliantly. Listened to all three in a week. Loved them Thank You E L James
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
One of the best I've listened to. Can see how it's getting so much hype. It's got everything and is Totally outstanding in every way. Top Narrator and Top Author/Story. WOW
Loved this series. Quite erotic at times so not for the prude but a real love story.
You will like this if you loved the JD Robb in death books.
I enjoyed listening to Fifty Shades of Grey, Book 3. Fifty Shades Freed. It brought the book to life even more so when you read and listen at the same time.
None of these books were for me. I only managed to get through and listen to part of book 2, never even listened to book 3. So far fetched and stupid and a waste of my time.
I just did not enjoy this at all and should not have listened to all the hype which made me decide to download
"Good Holiday read"
The Charactors and story developed further from 50 shades Darker, the explicit part of the writing became less obvious and the story of the emotional relationship became more important
Christian Grey because his character development was a lot more intense and he became more and more likable as the story developed
She gave each of the charactors a voice of their own, you could tell who she was playing at which points. She also portrayed the explicit parts without any obvious embarrassement and without making it pornographic.
2 areas: during Anna's unconsciousness, hearing the fly on the wall interactions between Christian and his relatives and near the end when he accepted the future he and Anna were to enter into with a family
Enjoyed that the story line evolved and the books didn't remain just about their bedroom antics. Although the book wasn't a master piece - lots of repletion of phrases - it was a good beach holiday read
"I like this narrator..."
Being able to listen to it when I'm driving, cooking, doing the dishes...!
Christian.Because... he's Christian!
I liked Becca's performance. I thought she got all the characters spot on and, although at first, I thought Christian sounded a bit strange, it soon became apparent that that just wasn't the case. The narration flowed and it didn't once affect the telling of the story in a negative way.
That would be telling! ;-)
if there was someone else narrating
the physical version
the narrator is just irritating
i didn't like the narrator but i loved the physical version
can someone please change the damn narrator...i just listen to the first 2 sentences and had to stop, what a turn off.
This book was read lovely becca made everyone sound how i thought they would sound and i love the story
Really enjoyed this conclusion to the trilogy series, especially enjoyed the ending as It was good to get Christian version of the story and I would now like to get a book with his version of the book. The sex scenes are still what you expect but you become more consumed by the plot. And a good happy ending.
"Very well read"
Mills and Boon with a bit more spice... Very well read and great to listen to.
"1st audio book"
Really enjoyed this audio book, wasn't sure what to expect as I had never listened to an audio book, but I really enjoyed it.
"Suspense Action as good as Grisham"
Fifty shades Freed is more action movie than sex book. It has kidnap, sorrow, laughter and suspense culminating in the most amazing happy ending any fast paced thriller can have. Although it still has a bit of erotica (more vanilla than s&M) it focuses on tying all the lose ends of the first two novels together. Very good book would recommend it to any one. The heroine Anastasia Grey, is the strongest female character that ive read about in a long time, Not at all like the meek Anastasia who fell into christians office in book one...
