horrible narrator!!!!

Good book but narrator really took away from Dans sex appeal with that horrible goofy voice she gave him, I found my self trying to imagine a different voice for him as I listened and that was distracting.

Horrible Narration!

Would you try another book from Megan Hart and/or Elenna Stauffer?

Megan Hart, Yes, great story! However, Elenna Stauffer's male character voice is horrible! She made Dan's voice horse & creepy sounding. I tried to listen when I first order this audible, yet I could not get past the 2nd chapter. I considered returning it, but when I had nothing to read or listen to I finally made it past the 2nd chapter. I will not purchase another book Elenna Stauffer narrates.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The narrator.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite characters were Dan and Elle. I loved how their relation developed.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator's voice made me dislike Dan at first. I had to fight very hard to ignore her irritating voice. She does not know how to do characters. The book would have been better if she just read it without doing different voices for the characters. The book would have been MUCH better if a different narrator read it.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

I would have given this book zero stars for performance if allowed. As much as I liked the story, I gave this book an overall rating of 3 stars because the narrator was terrible. I will avoid any book read by this narrator. I will go to the book store and pick up a hard copy of a book before I listen to anything this narrator performs.

Great Book, Narrator So So

What did you like best about Dirty? What did you like least?

The story was great - well written, well developed characters, and a good balance between light and serious situations.

What didn’t you like about Elenna Stauffer’s performance?

I thought Elenna Stauffer's performance had a negative impact on the story. When she read, she had a lot of attitude - marginalizing the characters. Her interpretation of the male voice sounded immature and too young. It was really distracting to the story.

The narration of this book is horrible. difficult

The manere did not do it great job is very difficult to follow the story due to her lack of enthusiasm. I've listened to a lot of books from audible have a this narrator does not do a great job with the character she depicts

I love Megan Hart's books

so it's not the story. Can't stand the narrator, especially her male voice which sounds like a chain smoker with a cold - gave up around chapter 2

More than I expected

This was a good book. I'm glad i chose it despite the previous reviews. There's a good amount of erotica with deep story content nicely intertwined. I laughed, i cried, i couldn't help but be engrossed in the story.

Erotica at its best

If you want a good erotic book that actually has a good story line, then you will like this one.

Great story,TERRIBLE narrator

What didn’t you like about Elenna Stauffer’s performance?

I felt like I was listening to Casey Kasem's daughter retell someone's "heartbreaking or heartwarming" story in between the top 40 hits of the week, For the ENTIRE Book. This is an erotic romance- the narrator should NOT sound the same when describing what is happening to her "nether regions" and HOW it feels as she sounds when talking aout painting her den and eating pizza with the kid next door. Her voice (speed, inflection, tone, etc) should NOT sound the exact same throughout. She sounded so detached at moments when she WASN'T supposed to be detached. I wished I had the book to read along with, because it was very hard to get past the narration to be able to just focus on the story.

I think Elenna Stauffer is probably a very good narrator, but just NOT for this genre.

A different kind of story

Bravo to Megan Hart. This is an excellent book. I had a hard time putting my player down. El is a great character and someone I found myself yelling at as well as rooting for.
I recommend this book to all who have had abuse in their lives. I also recommend this book to anyone who wants a different kind of story.
