It was mysterious, kept me guessing, and pretty freaking hot! Nice twist on a fantasy love story.

Yes, if you read Erotica books this was something different.

Not A Lot I can compare to do to it is Unique Love Story.

Which scene was your favorite?

I cant pick just one scene I like, they all were great, but if I had to pick i say the end of the book. Which I will not state because do not want to ruin the book. I would be terrified if that was me in the corner =) You will know what i mean when you read the end.

Just have to loved a New Unique Love Story and was a pleasure to Read and cant wait for the other book.

Love this series.

Finished book 1, Close Liaisons, today. I really enjoyed it. I had read it once before, but this time I'm listening to the audio book. I'm not usually interested in audiobooks, I just can't get into them. This one I really like. As for the story; it was just as good as the first time. I will say that at times Korum was a bit too persistent about things, but he was the perfect alpha male. Always thinks his way is the best. Mia was a good character, though at times I think she was a bit naïve. She let things go too easily without fighting hard enough for the things she wanted. All in all it was a good read and I look forward to reading/listening to it again in the future.

Excellent Smut

Any additional comments?

Remember when listening the protagonist is an introvert, sheltered, young (early 20s), and a virgin, so she's an innocent idiot. Well meaning one though, and I applaud the innocence she was written with. Once you get past that, it's a fun sci-fi concept, with really well written and fairly realistic sex scenes. I don't recommend it to people who have issues with weak female leads, possessive and/or domineering male leads, or getting to the hot steamy parts quickly. Mmmm, hot and steamy...I do recommend if if you're looking for a roll in the hay with a hot alien. Me-ow! I will be getting the next in the series. Then ending gave me the warm fuzzies.

Close liaison

I liked this book I did its a great start and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series however the female lead was irritating hence my rating . Mia is meant to be a smart shy girl but I found her frustratingly illogical in her thinking and very very immature. Korum I loved.

Great syfi

I really enjoyed listening to this story and the whole series too. I listen to them over and over again.

What made the experience of listening to Close Liaisons the most enjoyable?

The title was not the basic, generalized concept that you are use to. It was diverse, informative and imaginative. So much so that it is as if you are actually there. It was not just diluted sex, but two entities falling in love and testing that love. The action provided in between and the storyline had me captivated, so much so that the title was completed within a few hours.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Emily and Korum.

Though I believe she was too much of a submissive, she never truly did put up much of a fight where Korum was concerned. Korum for his passion to forgive and his brilliance

What does Kathleen Godwin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Substance

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cried and yes, I laughed as well, got a few people looking at me like I was crazy. But how Could I not ? When I was reading something this beautiful.

Overall and OK listen

What did you like best about Close Liaisons? What did you like least?

The alien twist was interesting. The narrator made it difficult to become part of the story and I wish she stayed away from the ideas that seemed to come from fifty shades of grey.

first time listening. I will finish the series but will probably not listen to any more.

How could the performance have been better?

Have a narrator that became the characters and not just a reader.

Was Close Liaisons worth the listening time?

Not really.

Trite.

While the performance is good,the story leave a lot to be desire.

The main character is a very immature 21 years old and a virgin. Trite.

The not so alien is overbearing,also trite. Frankly,I found him creepy. She burst into tears the second time he showed an interest in her, so childish a reaction that he commented on it and yet was not put off.
There was nothing romantic in that scene at least not for me. I saw an adult and a child.

The author kept her true to form... childishly reacting to situations. I lost interest.

The writing style resemble that of fairy tales book for young children. That is not a bad thing... for the right audience.

Could have been...

There are books that make me want to hit my head against the wall from frustration. Repeatedly. This one could have been such a good book. Alas, the heroine was the opposite of what would you call a heroine. She was stupid, scared cry baby that no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't like her, therefore I couldn't enjoy the story that could have been truly awesome. Concept is very cool. Aliens came and conquered but they are not exactly bad, although maybe they are but we don't really know it. There is a potential for great action, intriguing conspiracy, heroism and fascinating characters. Instead, we get Mia. Sigh. At least for people who like steamy sex, those scenes were okay. The reader was a bit annoying because her male and female characters sounded the same.
