Publisher's summary

The Earth is laid to waste by a devastating blight that destroys the world's food supply. Mass starvation wipes out millions almost overnight. Society collapses and those who survive must contend with renegade groups striving for naked power. A new currency comes into existence — precious food and the force of arms that helps get it at any cost.

Returning from a deep space mission, the crew of the Aquila crash lands in the Nevada desert and finds that the world they knew no longer exists. Ten months ago they had friends, wives, and children. Now they set out on an uncertain odyssey to find the survivors, an odyssey that uncovers a secret trail left by a man called General Zelig.

But in this ravaged new world, no one knows who is friend or foe...and their quest will test the limits of endurance and the will to live.

Performed by Richard Rohan, Thomas Penny, Tim Carlin, Ken Jackson, Michael Glenn, Casie Platt, David Elias, Jason Stiles, Lily Beacon, Tim Getman, Steven Carpenter, Christopher Graybill, Nanette Savard, Elizabeth Jernigan, Sherri Simpson, Elisabeth Demery, Dylan Lynch, Tony Nam, Ren Casey, M.B. Van Dorn, and Bobby Aselford.

Great if you loved old VHS flicks

Loved the 80’s action movie aesthetic of this production! As far as the story goes, well, if you’re the kind of person who will be expecting a long detailed account of what exactly the plan of the bad guys was, you’ll probably be disappointed. If your only real concern is that the bad guys blow up real good, you’ll be delighted!

This series shows the darkside of humanity

the story was ok as a group of people from seep space come home to find earth destroyed by a plant virus. an they find out quick to trust no one since it seems like most humans are out for blood to survive this new world with no plant life an very little food, an yes if you are looking for happy endings were a person is saved this is not a book for you even some of the heros in this book die with no happy ending for them or the survivors end up loosing a loved one it show the evil in mankind

Boring, meandering, and very unsatisfactory

The voice for Jim was a bad casting choice. This book trilogy meanders to a pointless and predictable conclusion. It was at least twice as long as it needed to be. Oddly though, the conclusion was incredibly rushed and unsatisfactory. I love these post apocalyptic books, but this is one of the worst I’ve read in a long time. The characters were all paper thin and represented nothing more than stereotypes. I’m going to stick to the Deathlands series.
