Publisher's summary

Vampires don't exist, do they? That is a question Private Detective Tony Mandolin finds himself pondering as the evidence piles up in a case involving a string of dead redheads and the usual dose of weirdness San Francisco has to offer. To complicate things, Mandolin has to deal with the perception that he has become the latest golden boy of the fog city's crime boss. Then there's his cross-dressing friend Frankie...just another day in San Francisco.

Dive into an exhilarating new noir fantasy series where nothing is as it seems.

What a surprise

Seriously a great find. I would’ve never tried it out if it weren’t for my love of Graphic Audio. Finishing the 4th book now. At first it seemed a little too whimsical but as the characters grow on you you’ll appreciate that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Can’t wait for the rest of the series to come out from GA on Audible!

unexpectedly fun

i picked these up because it's graphic audio, who did wonders with the stormlight archives. even though these types of detective books are usually not my jam, they were a lot of fun to listen to, given the fantasy tie-ins.

unexpected find

I purchased this on a whim. I enjoy GraphicAudio. They bring books to life the greater percent of the time. This is excellent. I especially enjoyedthe twist on a vampires weakness in book 1.

It's Campy and Fun

Is this series a serious "murder mystery" or "fantasy?" No. Absolutely not. It's campy, it's hokey, and tows the line of satire. It's terrifically amusing!
My only huge complaint is that in Book 2 there's an audio discrepancy when Tony is talking to a zombie and several tracks are overlaid, making the whole scene unintelligible.
Otherwise, it was a fun distraction while doing dishes, laundry, and all other mundane tasks.
