ABSOLUTELY GREAT SERIES
the narrator kept trailing off on certain words, made it hard to hear him. however I would highly suggest any books in this series!

Another FIVE STAR Carter Blake Book...
Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.
This book is full of intrigue with a well thought out plot. The story is believable and the protagonist (Carter Blake) is a likable guy who is hard as nails and he elicits sympathy or empathy or both at times.
He had loved a woman (Carol) who left him with instructions not to look for her. He didn't. Six years later she's married and living under an assumed name, then she and her husband disappear from their home. A concerned neighbor (Sarah) finds Carter's email in Carol's home and contacts him trying to find out if he's heard from her friend. And theeeeyyyy'rrrre off! Carter and Sarah join forces to track Carol down. There's rumor that Carol's husband was involved loved in a diamond heist, but was he? Was she involved?
Now she's missing and so are $2 million dollars worth of diamonds And, with a dirty bounty hunter on her trail... Whew!! And they're just getting started!
This book doesn't have a dull moment.
Eric Meyers does an outstanding job narrating.
This book can be read as a stand alone, I would recommend reading the other books first for background. Mason Cross is a favorite of mine and I've enjoyed all of the books in this series.
This book is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Carter Blake series, Book 4. Outstanding!!
This novel, Book 4 in the series, takes Carter Black in a new direction as he deals with personal matters. It is just as good as the prior three novels.
I found this suspense thriller series almost 2 years ago by following the reviews of Audible listener Shelley. She reviewed The Samaritan which is Book 2 in the series. She has already written a review of Don't Look for Me with which I agree. I'll just refer you to her review.

Book #4 is Excellent
Audible has a new feature where they offer books at no cost to members. I downloaded book #3 The Killing Season thinking it was #1. the first three books were free and i listened to the Killing Season first - they were entertaining, believable, and i could not put them down. I am now on book #4 (Don't Wait for Me) and i highly recommend the series!

The chronicles of Carter Blake
This character gets more interesting with each novel. Mason Cross has done an amazing job of “fleshing out” Carter Blake’s story. This book has a unforeseen “gotcha” at the end that no one will see coming. Can’t wait to start the next book in the series. I love finding great books that are included with an Audible subscription ❤️

Fun Romp
Oh, this was just so fun. My first by the author but it won’t be my last! I adored the character, Sarah, and loved the way the reader voiced Gage!

Voice Drops
This narrator has talent but has a bad habit of letting his voice drop. Especially at the end of sentences. Some words were very hard to hear.
