Publisher's summary

When my best friend’s little sister walks in on me moaning her name, it’s all over. All restraints are shattered, and every boundary demolished. Nothing will be the same…

For years, I’ve tried to keep my distance from Dakota Cooper. She’s everything I’ve ever wanted and the one thing I can’t have.

But when she calls me in the middle of the night after someone tries to break into her house, I can no longer handle that distance, and I convince her to stay with me, along with her young son.

I should have known having her living under my roof would push me to the edge. Ignite the need that has simmered for so long.

The problem is, she’s forbidden. Off-limits. And I know better than crossing that line.
I can’t drag her into the dark secrets of my life.

But I can’t stay away from her either, so I do the one thing I shouldn’t—I take.
And now that I’ve had her, I’m not sure I can save her from who I am...

Dakota and Ryder 😍

The wait for Dakota and Ryder's book is finally over! Time River's secret lovebirds have been holding their feelings back for too long. When Dakota needs something, Ryder somehow always shows up to save the day. When Dakota's apartment connected to her cafe is broken into one right, Ryder insists Dakota and her son stay with him. Ryder knows if he were to ever truly have Dakota as his, he needs to clean up some demons from his past that have haunted him for years.

Ryder and Dakota dance around each other while under the same roof, and you can cut the tension with a knife. The two have grown up together and Ryder has always been her protector and biggest fan of Dakota's baking. Ryder's moments together with Dakota's son are just precious and definitely pulled at my heartstrings. This book will leave you with a shocking turn of events towards the end, but Dakota and Ryder will finally get the love and happy ending they deserve.

Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais were paired together epically. We all already know they have amazing voices, but you can tell they both put their heart and soul in their work. Can't wait for book three!!

THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU IF: You love romances with a suspenseful twist and you have a soft spot for baked goods.

Mutual pining, damaged broody hero, single mom heroine, small town…soo good!

Don’t Forget Me Tomorrow is the newest book in AL Jackson’s Time River series and I could not wait for this book after loving Love Me Today, book 1 in the series, so much earlier this year. And the wait was definitely worth it, I loved this book too!

“I promise I will take care of you. Protect you.”
“Why?”
“Because protecting you is what I was created to do.”

This read is small town, friends to lovers, best friend’s little sister, single mom heroine, mutual pining, light romantic suspense! Dakota and Ryder are everything and I am just obsessed with them! The way they take care of one another and he’s so protective over her and her son Kayden. When Dakota hears something in the night, Ryder immediately shows up and moves her and her son in with him. Then when Dakota overhears Ryder in his room moaning her name 👀, well let’s just say they both realize the other could actually be an option. 🔥

I just loved these two so much, their closeness and bond was so apparent. The mutual pining was done so well and I love when a hero thinks he’s too damaged/too broken/too dangerous to be involved with the heroine, which is exactly how Ryder is in this book. He has some dark secrets in his past/his life and he doesn’t want Dakota to get involved or get hurt from that. His nickname for her is “Cookie”, her fav saying is “love is on the house”, he’s also a tattooed, pierced hero and omg if this couple cover isn’t the most stunning thing ever! We do see Paisley, the heroine of Love Me Today, as she is best friends with Dakota.

Ryder & Dakota

This story is incredible story in writing, but the audio is 100 times better. I've been enjoying this series so much! This book is a brother-best-friend, childhood-friend romance, packing a huge irresistible punch. Ryder & Dakota were just such stupendous characters to listen about. Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor nailed the audio for these characters!

This is the dream team

“Love is on the house”. This had me crying every time. I just LOVED Dakota and Ryder so much. And what a team to portray them!!! Connor and Samantha were incredible. I felt every single emotion through them, and I feel like I’m in turmoil like they were. Way too good. I’m a forever fan of AL Jackson!

TW: drug trafficking

When someone tries to break in to Dakotas's home one night she calls Ryder. He steps in and has Dakota and her son Kayden come stay with him. Ryder and Kayden had such a cute bond and it was endearing and probably the best part of the story.

Dakota was strong and independent and knew not to settle. Ryder reminded her all the time just how amazing she was. He was a great book boyfriend. So protective and sweet in that regard, but he had a dark side that had once included drug trafficking after being taken in by thugs when he was a younger boy. He was troubled after the loss of his mom as a teenager.

For me it was a little on the dark and angsty side. The romance side was enjoyable once they finally got there. Not sure I completely believed the forbidden aspect. It did anger me with all the drug trafficking, but I understood how a young boy got sucked in to an awful lifestyle after a horrific loss. I imagine those people seek out the weak as was this case.

Love is on the house 💕

5 BILLION STARS!! 🌟

Omg did I love this book. I knew this was going to be a 5 star book by the end of the prologue. Where do I even begin to describe my feelings on this? Because I just literally loved everything. From tiny tornado Kayden, to Ryder’s absolutely filthy mind and mouth, to the secrets and hidden love, to all the little goodies Dakota would make, to the gut wrenching ending.. all of it. There is not one thing that I would change about this book.

Dakota, who’s a single mom, was such an amazing fmc. She is truly so strong and after learning what happened.. I loved her all the more. Her son Kayden was super cute and I loved all of his moments, especially with Ryder. God, he was so good with that kid.

But RYDER 🤯 omfg I love that man. I’m obsessed with everything about him. He’s the literal definition of a book husband. I fell for that man after the prologue and I never got back up. I loved all of their stolen moments, how he was always there for Dakota and Kayden, no matter what. His jealous and possessive side, his dark side, his sweet side, his romantic touches, his diiiirrrtttty mouth. I couldn’t get enough.

The last part of the book had my jaw on the floor, like the entire way through. It was just hit after hit of things happening, and they hurt my heart. Then everything all fell into place and all was right again. The book ended so beautifully.

I listened to the audiobook for this, and let me tell you what Connor Crais did a FANTASTIC job of being Ryder. Honestly might’ve been a big part of why I fell for that fictional man. Add in one of my favorite female narrator’s for Dakota? Stop. It was perfection. Samantha Brentmoor is so amazing to me. She hits the mark every time. She has this way of doing the male voice.. that’s just so good.

I highly HIGHLY recommend this book. Especially the audio!

Brother’s Best Friend with Romantic Suspense

I really enjoyed this brother’s best friend, small town romantic suspense with a morally gray hero. I really loved these two characters and how much they loved each other. They’ve both loved each other since they were kids, but when they finally get together it’s perfect. Ryder is definitely a morally gray hero, but he wants out of the situation. It was heartbreaking but also so sweet to watch how he kept trying to put Dakota first, even if it meant staying away from her. He was so protective of her and her son Kayden.

I really enjoyed the romantic suspense aspect of this story. It fit well with who the characters are, and definitely had me hooked! I did guess quite a bit of it, but I loved it and couldn’t stop listening.
