Publisher's summary

We're facing an identity crisis. For decades our culture has tried to blur the lines between men and women, to make gender irrelevant, all in the name of equality. It’s a message that has slowly infiltrated our marriages, our homes, and even our churches. Yet instead of creating harmony, this message has only caused confusion, ultimately leading to a tragic breakdown of relationships and families. Divine Design calls us back to God’s original intent for men and women. Clearing away the cultural noise and misconceptions, author John MacArthur tackles big issues such as authority in marriage, mothers in the home, and God’s view of equality, all while exploring the innate differences between men and women. Throughout, MacArthur provides an indispensable guide for understanding your mate and shares how embracing your unique design can foster security, balance, and love in a marriage and family. Divine Design includes a PDF with a guide for both personal and group study, which features discovery questions, suggestions for prayer, and activities, all designed to connect life-changing truths with everyday living.

A L ONE Voice

This is the only book in the world I can find on this!!! People throw the word bravery around usually wildly missing the mark. This book is a can't miss.

I am a wife and mother

I agree with most if not all his points. Though I believe his points were not well executed in some areas. It is a good book to listen to if you are listening for yourself and not someone else like a spouse. And you have to be willing to accept the Bible is counter cultural even counter your own personal culture and understanding. I am not sure if he blames the woman for the fall or just loudly points out her part. Which I would be careful on that either way. God says it was man that brought the fall regardless of what the woman or the serpent did that day. Overall I think it is a book to be read and pray that God humbles us to His truth through His word on His roles for us.

Well said

This book uses the Bible to examine God's design for men and women to work together in a way that would bear real fruit. The author looks at Bible leadership, roles and responsibilities not just in the home but also the church.

A necessary read in today's society especially.

Accuracy

This author, utilizes sola scriptura in writing books on bible and Christian living topics. This means (by scripture alone') and is a Christian theological doctrine held by most Protestant Christian denominations, in particular the Lutheran and Reformed traditions, that posits the Bible as the sole infallible source of authority for Christian faith and practice.

Strikingly revealing of true facts of life

It is in reality nothing that can come close in regard to marriage. This amazing work is an eye opening for those who seriously want to experience true functionality and reward as they embark or have being married.
