Cute read

While this is a really short read it was enough that peaked my interest into the rest of the series

A quick, fun bite of urban fantasy

I really enjoyed this 34-minute jaunt to the exciting life of Ivy Granger, psychic detective. It is book #3.75 in the series, and beware: it contains a few spoilers if you haven’t read books 1 through 3 yet. I had only read #0.5 and #1 so far, but I was fine with the spoilers because they just piqued my interest in reading more of the series. I recommend this little audiobook if you read and loved at least the first book in this series.

This story was quick, but it was great for a short commute. It quickly plunged me back into the crazy paranormal town of Harborsmouth and the quirky bunch of characters that I love. Ivy and her best friend Jinx have a new paranormal problem that takes a team of their buddies to fix. The story felt complete, exciting, and heartwarming.

The narrators Melanie A. Mason and Anthony Bowling gave a lively duet performance. Ms. Mason did most of the narration, and Mr. Bowling contributed the few male parts. This pair are fantastic at bringing this fun urban fantasy series to life.

I requested and received a free audiocode from the author, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

Too short!

Ivy and her toddler demon are in deep doodoo. They need help from friends fast! I like Jinx's part in this short but busy piece of Harborsmouth life the best.
Narration is done by a familiar skilled pair who always do their best.

Sparky!

This was a fun and quick listen. Ivy Granger, Psychic Detective and Fae, is searching for help for her sick "baby", Sparky. Sparky is a demon and appears to have some sort of illness. She and her best friend/roommate, Jinx, soon find out that Sparky isn't sick, he is just being summoned by someone who needs a demon. Who would be cruel enough to use a toddler for their own nefarious purposes? Ivy and friends will soon find out!

The characters are engaging, the action is great and the interaction between the characters is wonderful. I enjoy this series a lot and this was a nice short read. It could be read as a standalone, but in order to fully enjoy it, I would suggest reading the first books in the series.

The narrators did a great job and added a lot to the book. I was given the chance to listen to this book by the author/narrator/publisher and chose to review it.

Love Ivy

I received this book for free at my request but the opinion is of my own. Ivy is back trying to find answers for the demon child she has adopted. Not knowing much about them she seeks help from someone she doesn’t care for. Now that she knows the answer what will she do to protect the child?

4 1/2 stars

Devil in the Details (Ivy Granger, Psychic Detective (#3.75), my eighth read from author E.J. Stevens and my sixth Ivy Granger read. Well-written with intriguing characters. I got the book back in August of 2018 and never got around to reading it until now. E.J. Stevens is rapidly becoming a go-to author for me! I was been given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Melanie A. Mason & Anthony Bowling’s narration adds to the book's enjoyment. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
