Deadly Vacation

Bodyguard Tess Miller needs a break so she heads to her Uncle's cabin in the Arizona Mountains. Unfortunately her peace is disturbed when a stranger who has been shot crashes into her life. Nothing will ever be the same.

Tech giant Shane Burkhart's vacation turns deadly when someone tries to kill him. As he recovers he realises that in the days to come he will need the 'guardian angel' who rescued him to stand by his side. And if he is lucky maybe she will stay with him forever.

Margaret and Allyson have created an exciting and compelling sweet Christian romance with all the elements of a classic whodunit. Well done! I look forward to listening to more by this Author and Narrator in the future.

Kept me on the edge of my seat!

Loved it! Great story line, love that strong people can still love the Lord and lean on Him in times of need.

So Refreshing

It is so refreshing to find another author who writes suspenseful stories with a twist of romance but keeps the language and the details clean. I will definitely be listening to more from this author!

Recommended

A rather short but intense story. It was unclear who was trying to murder Shane until the very end. Tessa being a bodyguard was the logical choice to keep him safe.

I didn't like Tess very much. She kept making excuses to herself. She seemed so brave but was a total wimp when it came to facing her own feelings and where they could lead with Shane.

not bad

the performance was a little breathy like she was trying to make more romance than necessary and there was more romance than suspense in this story.

couldn't finish

Very predictable. Boring corny story line. 100% chick lit. Romance didn't capture my interest. Cheesy literature.

Too predictable

I understand the whole boy meets girl, girl has issues, boy gets girl. But this story was so predictable that it was boring.
Throwing in reference to God and forgiveness didn’t help.
As a Christian there’s a place for the mention of God’s love and his forgiveness but this author threw it in as an afterthought and it didn’t work nor did it save a story that took forever to get started and forever to final reach the obvious conclusion.
