Publisher's summary

Most people faced with the zombie apocalypse are simply trying to survive. Joel Landon is determined to live...by any means necessary. All he needs to do is surround himself with the right people who have the same mindset.

Of course, they also have to understand that there are rules. No society can flourish without them. If you step out of line, the last words you hear will be, "I sentence you to the darkness."

Could there be a fate worse than death by zombie?

So scary!

I think that the book was the scariest in the series. I really loved it but it was scary.

Great Book!

Only follows one character. I really like when TW Brown have multiple POVs. Still a really good listen. Ends in a sort of cliffhanger, I would like a know how this group is faring 10 years later... also want a book 3 of the New Dead Series.

Wonderful!!

I loved the main Character, a Vietnam Vet who took his experiences in the war and used it to help him in the trying times of Zombies! His cold heartedness at times surprised me but i could totally understand where he was coming from also. Having been to Vegas a few times myself easily picture where they were at (or about at) as well as the outskirts. Having gone to Hoover Damn on my first trip out there and gone on the tour down to where you can see the water flowing through creating the electricity, it helped to be able to visualize where these Characters were. I was a bit confused by the ending. I know these are just snapshot stories, but this one left me questioning what just happened and wanting more to this story. I know i have said that before with at least one of the other snapshot books, but this one i felt left me dangling a bit more than i like. But overall it was a great book and i may just have to listen to it again really soon since i will be going to Vegas again soon... maybe on the plane ride??? Get some good ideas just in case..

4th in Snapshot series

I really enjoy the Snapshot world of zombies. I like to cheer on the humans and want the zombies dead for a second time. However, in this book, I would prefer the zombies to win. Not one likeable character in the bunch. Hope zombie eat them all!

Brown Flops

I like Brown’s books usually...when he isn’t the narrator. What’s weird is the narrator of this book sounds an awful lot like Brown, but supposedly it isn’t. IDK. that being said, I do like this narrator at all either. He does not bring the characters to life. There is little variation.

Story wise, this story is pretty bad. Nothing new. His snapshots series started off pretty good, but it is quickly turning ugly. Maybe, it’s time for him to take a break from the zombie genre or maybe create an entirely new zombie world.

I would not buy unless you really like this author. If you’re new to him, check out some of his earlier books.
