Uh. Whoa.
This book was a huge surprise! 100% surprising. The entire audiobook experience was amazing as it was completely immersive. From the sounds of waterfalls, dog barks, to the skittering of creepy crawlies, it has it all.
The writing was perfection as the listeners are taken on a trip (ha) of almost every fear possible. Are you afraid of the dark? Claustrophobic? Arachnophobic? Fear drowning? Snakes? Dying alone? Then this audiobook is for you to face your fears.
When you combine the writing, the audiobook reader, and the immersion of the experience, you have an absolute winner! Cannot wait to hear/read more from this author.

Phobia Filled Fun
This would definitely not be the ideal honeymoon for any couple! Water, caves, darkness, creepy crawlers and more! It seems like Mike Duke wanted to ensure that his readers heart rate increased with every chapter. If you're looking for a panic and adrenaline filled survivor story, this book is for you!
I was not a huge fan of the narrator but I am definitely a fan of the story. First story I've read by Mike and definitely looking forward to reading more.

Great Performance Survival Story
Its always a treat to find a survival horror that doesn’t rely on curses or demons, just good old man vs nature, wild animals, and his own rotten luck. Crawl was fast paced, attention grabbing, and fun. A bit mild as far as horror, there wasn’t much shock or gore, but Duke clearly knows his way around the outdoors and his characters did everything right.. which makes it all the more unnerving when things start to go wrong.
The performance was insanely clever and well executed. I was initially disappointed when I heard the narrator’s very radio announcer esque voice introduce the characters, expecting the performance would be well done, but unexciting. By chapter two I was proven very very wrong. Character voices, sound effects, and the use of reverb and echos made it feel I we were crawling right along with them.
I’d highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good classic survival story, or who wants a fun creepy listen the next time they’re camping or taking a walk in the woods.

CRAWL is a HORROR Story
Newlyweds Dillon and Linda wanted to have an adventurous honeymoon they would never forget and they get more than they had hoped for...much more!
CRAWL is a HORROR story, expect to feel creeped out at some point if not through most of the entire story. If you have a particular fear that makes you uncomfortable, odds are it is included in CRAWL. This is my first experience with the fiction of Mike Duke and certainly will not be my last.
