"Cleaning was never so steeped in meaning as it is in Rafkin's scintillating reflection....delivers the dirt on cleaning with investigative zeal and remarkable depth." (Entertainment Weekly)
I thought this had such potential...too bad the author isn't a very good narrator. She should have left it to a professional. Her pacing was off and pretty distracting. The sound quality was also lacking quite a bit. I'm really disappointed in this audio book and would NOT suggest anyone buy it.
This was a fun look at the lives of those who clean up after the rest of us. Some observations on what you should and shouldn't do if you hire people to clean your home, and some discussion of the economics of housecleaning (it's a bad deal pay-wise for many of the people who do it for a living, but not all ).There' were also many of her own experiences, and some stories of other people who have lived as housekeepers.
