Crime and Punishment is the story of a crime - a double murder committed by a student for the money. However simple the plot is, the novel becomes etched into the mind and soul of a reader or listener. What is so enigmatic about it? Besides the plain and obvious - that it is all due to Dostoevsky’s genius - there is at least one other explanation: some questions do not have any unsophisticated and definite answers. Poverty, distress, and the suffering of loved ones have always pushed people to make a choice: "May I break any moral law now to save those humiliated and support those weak in the future, or shall I love myself first and then, after becoming stronger, love my neighbor?" These are eternal questions.

Big fan of the book was looking forward to hearing it, but the reader is so terrible its really impossible to listen to it... audible has one narrator, the audio actually names a different narrator... but this guy makes you want to tune him out...
