Favorite Jane Austen book

Persuasion is by far my favorite Jane Austen novel. This recording does it great justice. I️ find it easy to listen to multiple times.

Very well read

Ms Stevenson reads very well with good distinctions between characters. I noticed parts of the story more fully listening to it rather than rushing through it to find out what happens next. Of course it is set in its own time, don’t expect a modern heroine. Jane Austen is always a joy.

Great performance

Love the reading performances. But I must admit that Pride and Prejudice and Emma are much more engaging reads than Persuasion. Still it is a fine work, especially to one that enjoy British naval history from a female perspective. But this is not the best representation of Jane Austen’s works

Beautiful Narratiom

This has long been one of my favorite Austen novels and this narration further secures it!

Great narration of a lovely story

Juliet Stevenson absolutely nails it. Her character shifts are perfect (although it makes Mary incredibly grating, which is appropriate) and she creates a transporting experience.

One of Austen’s best, if not the best.

I love a story where the righteous win and the

disengenuous go home. When artifice gets stamped out, the world is a better place. Beauty remains in virtue and a steadfast heart.

Juliette Stevenson is a Masterful Reader

JS knows each and every Jane Austen character thoroughly. Her reading is expertly done and so entertaining. I especially love her simpering Mary and imperious Sir Walter. Well done! I only want to listen to Jane Austen as read by Juliet Stevenson.

Followed along with book

The narration was amazing . The audio book followed the book word for word and I fell in love with Captain Wentworth all over again.

True to form, Austen bring another great tale of friendship and love.

I love all of Stevenson’s narrations! She does an excellent job!
