Excellent Telling of a Classic

The story itself that Marquez has written is incredible and worth visiting several times in life. The themes and imagery are great. It's a masterpiece of magical realism.

I enjoyed the narrator of this audiobook and thought he did a decent job of animating the many characters in the story.

I will listen to this again and again

it's a long story filled with lots of characters sometimes I lost track of who was who but a lovely story of love and struggle, pain and celebration.

Fast Paced Bliss

Nothing beats the pace of the tale. The creativity of the plot & naration of writer is carried brilliantly by the reader. I enjoyed it tremendously

I appreciate it, but not my thing

This book is creative, funny, completely bizarre, amazing characters, fantastic story telling, and it is performed wonderfully. There were moments that I felt this was a historical piece and then something completely off-the-wall would happen, and I'd laugh or shake my head. That said, I had a hard time getting into it. I'm a little embarrassed to write this, but I had a hard time following all the characters because so many of them shared the same name! It would have been different for me if I was reading their name in print, but it was hard for me to follow while listening. Again, some of this is due to multiple characters with the same same overlapped with skipping around in the timeline, but some is due to my inability to remember names without something visual to associate it with! :)

This is a confident, precise and gripping narration of a classic tale. Definitely recommend it.

I am not sure what this book was about. But it had some fantastical parts
