Publisher's summary

Jane Eyre follows the emotions and experiences of eponymous Jane Eyre, her growth to adulthood, and her love for Mr. Rochester, the byronic master of Thornfield Hall. The novel contains elements of social criticism, with a strong sense of morality at its core, but is nonetheless a novel many consider ahead of its time given the individualistic character of Jane and the novel's exploration of sexuality, religion, and proto-feminism.

Only gets better

Just love this story. I had seen the PBS movie and never read the book, it was spot on. The book was avidly better and engaging. The narrator Emma messenger only makes it better. A definite read for everyone looking for a classic.

Excellent--so much better than movie versions!

Excellent narrator! She held my attention for hours. If your only exposure to Jane Eyre has been movie adaptations or abridged print versions, you owe it to yourself to hear all of Jane's story. So many important plot points and character details are lost otherwise. Highly recommended!

A Childhood Favorite

I loved this book as a child. As an adult I experienced even richer enjoyment. Classic!! What better adjective to describe this work? And the execution of the reading was excellent.

Timeless Classic

This is my all-time favorite book ever. I've read the printed version every year for the last 20 years. I decided to go with the audio book this time and was not disappointed. Excellent narration. Highly recommend this audiobook and this narrator. #ComingofAge #FeelGood #Inspiring #ThornfieldHall #tagsgiving #sweepstakes
