Lots of people

There are a lot of people in the story and a lot of characters, so it can be a lot to keep up with. That being said, I enjoyed the story and it has movement and life in color and I highly recommend it!

Beautifully read

I'm not usually one for this type of drama, but the story and narration make a fantastic combination. I don't consist myself an emotional person, but I actually got house bumps...

First Choice for Narration

The wonderful Juliet Stevenson can't be bettered as a narrator of Jane Austen. There is, of course, a lot of competition, but where Stevenson has recorded a book, she is always first choice.

The characterization is distinctive but not caricatured, the irony pointed but not laboured, and no nuance of the prose is overlooked.

As Emma is, in my opinion, the most delightful of Austen's novels, I can't recommend this audiobook too highly.

A great reading of a classic!

I love this story...I've read it previously, but it was made all the better by the great performance by Juliet Stevenson. She made the story wonderful and amusing by doing all the voices to a tee. A wonderful listen!

A must for lovers of Emma

What can I say except that if you are going to listen to Emma, who better to read it to you than Juliet Stevenson? Emma is not my favorite of Austen’s works but I do like the story and it is entertaining. I’m a big fan of Juliet Stevenson and so it was a no brainer to have this on audio; although I have read and own the physical book.
Very good reading and an entertaining listen!

Love the voices of the characters

Very pleasant, I loved the fluctuation of her voice and how she gave each character a voice and a personality throughout the book.
