My hope is that all that is looking for the path of spirtuality listens to this amazingly beautiful autobiography. It brought tears to my eyes and often smiles to my face. Thank you for sharing your life with the world Paramahansa Yogananda.
Yes, but not for everyone. Because you would have to really care about this kind of topic/subject of meditation and be open minded regarding a spiritual existence.
I read this book because of "The Surrender Experiment" by Michael Singer because he mentioned it.
I really loved Ben Kingsley's performance. But I wondered if the voice should have had more of an Indian accent, still it was easy to listen to, I was not put off by it.
It didn't make me laugh or cry, but it did make me emotional and I feel like it expanded my mind and helped me become even more expectant that all things are possible.
Much more than just the story of an extraordinary individual, Autobiography of a Yogi explains the souls evolution, the cosmos and the Autobiography works we live in. This is a must read/ listen.
Ben Kinsley is fantastic, very relaxing. The story is also very informative and inspired me to learn more about India
Yes, Yogananda story is amazing however I wish this audiobook can be reread by another narrator.
Just a great story all around. A great person with a pure heart that lived through great expiriences.
Great book, I was really looking forward to listen to this book. First audiobook I downloaded and my expectations were high. However I could never get past Ben Kingsley boring tone. I felt like the whole book was one sentance. I felt that he was reading a book he was forced to read. Lack of passion for such a great book.
This book is the kind of book that changes your life! It illuminates spiritual knowledge that the western mind is in dire need of. It is a great starting point to an authentic spiritual life. It reveals what is truly possible, not for special people, but for all of us. It shows the limitless wonder of this life and what is truly possible in God. It shows what the fruits are of meditation deeply practiced and hopefully motivates anyone reading it to embark on that path. Blessings to all :)
