Publisher's summary
Imagine if your grandfather had shared with you a so unbelievable story, and you find yourself unexpectedly inherited a four-thousand-year-old magical ring. What if you were told that this ring had the near unlimited power to grant you the ability to travel anywhere on Earth, and also travel to any time in history.
And what if you had unexpectedly in addition you found out at the same time, that you just inherited this ring from your grandfather, and on his death bed he reveals to you the magic of the ring that he is gifting now to you. Then he tells you more of his secret about his life, he shares with him about the vast priceless treasure that he had managed to have amassed a massive fortune of treasure. Which contained treasures that he had spent years gathering throughout history. He shares with you that he has a massive hidden vault to keep it all safe, and house it all. He handed you, if you will, the key to the kingdom. The treasure so vast, you will never have to work a journey through the Duat, or underworld, and into another day in your life.
However, there was one major catch to understand to the beholder, about the ring, as well as the treasure. The whole thing comes as more of a curse. Then he told you that you cannot under any circumstance tell another living soul about the ring or the treasure that you now possess.
He warns you that this ring could slowly eating away at you, and to protect the magic of this ring, you will slowly give up on all your family and friend, and the life that you once knew, for the sake of the ring. It started becoming all beholding to the person that possess the ring at the time. If you allow it to, it will completely take over your life. It’s like a powerful drug. Who’s ultimate goal is to completely destroy you?
Wherever you end up jumping back in time to, you can be hurt, injured or even worse even killed while on the jump. And when you are due to travel back in time, you have to be very careful to not be found out by the people present in the time period you jump to, or the time period that you hail from. Not to mention, you have to be careful to try not interfering in any way or alter time. You may even know the assorted details of the historical event you just jumped back to. If you do interfere you run a chance of completely changing history as you know it. And once you have, there is no way to put the genie back it the bottle, the timeline can’t be repaired once things are altered. Also, even though you may want to jump back and see a loved one perhaps, far enough back that they weren’t dead, you cannot. In doing so, changing just one small event on the visit to see a loved one, may in fact end up having the effects of preventing yourself from even being born. The rings magic will prevent you from being able to save a loved one, even when you think you can prevent their death. They will just end up dying in a different manor, they still will die in the end.
The more that you continue to use the ring, the more the magic, and the curse of the ring gets ahold of your soul. It darkens the person. The ring could make you end up losing your mind. Since the ring had been forged, the ring has ruined many of the beholder of the ring’s lives. Over a period of thousands of years, since the ring was created from the Egyptian book of the dead, to grant the power to the Pharoah to be able to crossed over, as he entered the afterlife. But shortly after the ring had been created by the Egyptian high priest. One of its creators had gotten greedy, he took the ring for himself. And in doing so, the strange odyssey of this ring had begun its journey across time. Countless people after thousands of years have possessed this very ring.
