Publisher's summary

Miss Amanda Waters knew full well that a rake should not be trusted, but when a severely wounded Lord Warwick crashed through her front door, bleeding, and asking her to keep his secret...what choice did she have? Heaven help her, if anyone learned she was nursing a British Lord back to health in her upstairs bedroom. Her friends would disown her and most of the ton would think her a fool. But when she discovers Lord Warwick’s true mission, she has no choice but to help.

Lord Warwick never expected to need the help of someone like Miss Waters. But his mission was too important. England’s very survival rested in the balance. The fact that it might cost him his heart was immaterial. Some things cannot be denied.

perfect pairing

This couple made the perfect partners in crime (to solve crimes). The rescue was dramatic and movie worthy. I enjoyed the chase.I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was good.

Series of Good Rakes Find Love Ends

Series of Good Rakes Find Love Ends

Produced at much higher audiobook studio quality than earlier works by this author, this series concludes in a plot awash with spies, as the series where the books are are linked by the heroes being friend ends with a wounded operative being aided by a prim Lady with eidetic memory.

(I encourage the author to release a few of her books to audiobook library app circulation, since my check of 15 major libraries found 0 works by her.)

Plot kept my attention

It was okay. It had a little more going on in the plot. Spying for the crown and of course love.

too much smiling

which becomes tedious. far too much maundering down negative thought paths. nearly turned off several times. but all was saved by a good plot and storyline, which kept me on board, but only just.
