If you want to succeed in anything you want to do why not follow a leader who has done just that and more. Jack will show you how he "won" and how to impliment that in you life or line of work. He's fantastic. I love this book, I reccomend it to all who are looking to "win" in life and in you business!!

I've always had a passion to win as an associate, team leader, and middle manager. This read left me incredibly thirsty - loved listening to Jack talk about his philosophies. Business is a fun game - one that important written, and unwritten, rules... this book sums it up.

So nice to have so much insight

Soooooo much insight, a truly excellent read. I've been through about 160 titles so far and it sucks when you find one that offer little or nothing new. a little older but the message is as current as we are presently here. Thanks Jack for sharing your insight.

Great insights for aspiring leaders

I have listened to this book several times. It is entertaining and inspirational, filled with many useful and practical insights into business management and leadership.
Jacks Welsh reads the book himself and this conveys the emotion of the events he describes so much better than a professional narrator ever could. It's almost like being in the boardroom with him, understanding his thought process and how he works complex business problems towards a solution.
This book is so much more than an autobiography of Jack's time running GE.. it shines light on what goes on behind the closed doors of the boardrooms of billion dollar companies and shows that the difficulties and business decisions being made are no different than you are making in your own job today - - there are just a few more commas and bigger dollar signs attached.
For those who disagree with Jack's hard-hitting management style, there is a lot to learn whether you agree with his decisions or oppose them. As you listen to Jack explain some of the difficult situations he was faced with, you can decide how you would have handled the situation.
Overall a very useful and entertaining management and leadership workbook.

Amazing book! You Must read this!

Every day in life, there is a new question. That’s what keep us going (Welch, 9). Winning, is a book written by former CEO of General Electric (GE), Jack Welch. In his book, Jack, seeks to answer the question: What does it take to win? In twenty chapters, he attempts to answer this question by utilizing real life experience to address conceptual management philosophy, the innards of an organization, competition, leadership, one’s career life and more.

He touches topics such as the importance of a mission and vision that contain concrete values to cultivate the company culture, as well as hiring the right people to safeguard the culture while trickling success down the entire organization. In addition, he talks about the external environment, how to gain and maintain a strategic advantage, how to properly address budgeting, and what he refers to as one of businesses most dreary topics, Six Sigma.

Furthermore, Jack address your career. He maintains there must be a healthy balance between work life and personal happiness, while arguing that if you love your job, you’ll never truly work another day in your life. Most importantly, Jack teaches the reader about leadership; stating that once you become a leader, success is not measured by one’s ability to grow themselves, rather by their ability to grow others

This book is one of the best books Ive read to date... I highly reccomend.
