Short and Powerful

This is going in the list of books for my kid to read and is applicable to anyone. If you listen and reflect on the big points there is plenty to learn no matter where you are in life.

Thought provoking, but unconvincing

This book came highly recommended and seemed to be a great help to my professional and personal challenges. However, while the book did provide a lot of insight and provoked much thought, in the end I am still left as confused as ever about how to choose the “one thing”.

The production was also somewhat odd. The male narrator was good, but did not seem to fit the authors voice. What was very offputting, was that a separate female narrator read the chapter titles and headings, which was slightly jarring and unnecessary. The music for each chapter was also cheesy and pointless.

Changed my life forever

The focusing question is the most profound thing I found in the Universe. My tears of joy and admiration to the authors and narrators. Thank you for making your thing available for everyone! This is the most important book of all ever written.

Solid but not unlike the others

I really like the discipline that this book takes to doing one thing well instead of twenty things poorly. It's a philosophy I've always shared but the author does go a little overboard at times in his language. Many of the things he says are in extremes. "This is a lie" "that is a lie" "always this" "never this". I will probably think about this book a lot in my own productivity but you do walk away from the book feeling like the only way to success is in business

Wish I had this book sooner.

Really makes me identify the ONE THING I should be focused on. Going small is actually the path to going BIG.

I'm excited to put it into practice! The chapters are well laid out, and the summary at the end is very helpful.
