Publisher's summary

There are an endless number of sales books that purport to let the reader in on the secrets of great selling. And many of them even have useful ideas and tips. But it doesn't matter how many tricks a salesperson has at hand if he or she doesn't have the one most important weapon in any salesperson's arsenal: the motivation to get out there and sell!Rhetorical tricks and clever devices, even if they're occasionally effective, don't make great salespeople; hard-working, self-motivated, optimistic people do. The cold, hard truth is that there really isn't any great big secret to sales success. There's only the simple truth: motivated, positive, goal-oriented people are usually the ones who sell the most.

Fortunately, even if you don't think you have these vital qualities, you can develop them in yourself - with the right help. You can learn to motivate yourself to action. You can learn to project a friendly, positive attitude. The Best Damn Sales Book Ever will show you how. Plus, it shows you how to design a set of goals and an action plan that help you focus your efforts and stay on a successful track. You'll find wise and practical advice on:

  • Motivating yourself today, tomorrow, and into the future
  • Setting long-term goals that spur you to action
  • Creating a written action plan for your life, career, or business
  • Developing a positive mental vision of yourself
  • Becoming an expert advisor and resource to your clients
  • Doing more than you have to do
  • Constantly practicing and preparing
  • Creating and selling value, rather than products and prices
  • Being persistent but not pushy
  • Knowing your customers inside and out
  • Loving what you do every day!

This audiobook doesn't cover the art of prospecting, closing, gathering referrals, or presentation. There are a thousand books that rehash those basics. While those skills are important, they're practically useless without the right attitude and motivation. The Best Damn Sales Book Ever is a one-of-a-kind guide to what it truly takes to achieve and maintain real sales success.

Extremely helpful & packed with great information.

What did you like best about this story?

This book provides helpful ways to be extremely successful in sales. The author definitely knows what he is talking about! I've have listened to many motivational, leadership and sales style books, but this is by far one of my favorites. Definitely will expand your mind to great possibilites and improve your business, client relationship, and a resource to my clients. Having Warren read his own book, you really do get the passion he has for the business. Thank you for the great book!

What about Warren Greshes’s performance did you like?

You really get that he has a passion for the business and you can hear it in his voice. I could tell his New Jersey accent and that was authentic. He said people had asked him to change his presentation and he declined. He knew that he did not want to sound like everyone else. He was right! It kept me interested...

Good tips AND energizing!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Best Damn Sales Book Ever to be better than the print version?

I would never recommend the print versio because the author's voice and spirit is so empowering and energizing to me that the words alone would not be more than half the value.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Best Damn Sales Book Ever?

Warren tells many anecdotes and stories, both from his own life and others', and one story about a desperate man worked his way up from having nothing at all, to being financially successful, was particularly inspiring.

I won't give away anything because I want you to experience it yourself, but the story illustrates, PROVES, that what looks like crushing defeat, IS really an opportunity in disguise. I never understood this until now.

What does Warren Greshes bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I read/listen to a lot of sales books and this and Zig Ziglar's material have what salespeople need: an incessant, joyful, energizing, and empowering picker upper in your ear. We need this to deal with the profession we have chosen.

You cannot get this from print, well you can, but nothing beats Warren's and Zig's voices!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It has made me laugh out loud several times, and I am not finished yet!

Any additional comments?

Just get it and buy it for everyone you know. It is amazing!

Listened to this during 3 runs. Of all the audio books I've listened to, this was the best narrator who happened also to be the author. Warren's in your face high energy was great to listen to and helped burn up the miles. Its a fantastic sales book, I'll be ordering multiple hard copies for my own sales force. This is a must listen to and / or read. I look forward to one day attending one of Warrens live talks.

This book is not just for sales people

What did you love best about The Best Damn Sales Book Ever?

I not only recieved great advice which will help propel my career, but I was in stitches lauging. The only thing wrong with this book is the title. I would call it The Best Damn Life coach book ever.

Who was your favorite character and why?

There wasn't any fictional characters. My favourite story was the Ninja Turtles. I won't spoil it for anybody else. I just had a pain from laughing so much.

Have you listened to any of Warren Greshes’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first but not the last book

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

I have listened and re listered to this performance several times already. It is not your usual self help book which is why I bought it after hearing the sample.

Fast and ease and single point of contact.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book really surpised me, vert interresting content, no bull****, but the thing I enjoyed the most was the narrator's performance, it feels like you are having a personal lecture on sales by the author. Which is very close to the truth.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely no, there is so many good tips you have to listen in bits at a time and reflect on them, a second and this listen are advisable too.

Any additional comments?

The main points I got from this book were Speed and ease, and being the single point of contact with the customer. Whoever listen to this book will undestand what I mean.
