Rich Dad Poor Dad will….
Robert Kiyosaki has challenged and changed the way tens of millions of people around the world think about money. With perspectives that often contradict conventional wisdom, Robert has earned a reputation for straight talk, irreverence, and courage. He is regarded worldwide as a passionate advocate for financial education.
"The main reason people struggle financially is because they have spent years in school but learned nothing about money. The result is that people learn to work for money… but never learn to have money work for them."

Id reccomend this audiobook to anyone. Understanding that our day can be long and sometimes what we have left of it feels difficult to actually read the book, listenining to it is as close as it gets. I really enjoy the ideas presented and value the contrast of thoughts brought by the author.
Poor dad. Regretfully i have heard all these advices from my own family. Whats worst is that all of them are stuck (same as poor dad) in the rat race.
Is not as much as i find it my favorite but probably the reflection of myself what makes the poor dad a favorite character.
The performance is quite unique. Some people dont like it others dont care. To me as long as the performer keeps it interesting and the voice doesnt put me to sleep im fine with it.
Id give the performer a 7 or 8.
Not really, since all the book moves you, motivates you if you will.
Ive read and heard other books from this author, and if you are not happy with your financial life this author is a most for your library of references.
Rich Dad is a coaching for life. Yes, I would absolutely listen again.
Recognizing the fear and ignorance of job vs independence
It made me think
The book is very good!. The reader, Tim Wheeler, has not received proper breathing instruction to narrate a book. Some people don't breath while they speak. This is not a healthy habit. It is distracting to listen to a book where the reader holds his breath and gasps between pauses. It actully interrupts my breathing while listening to him.!!!
Yes, short read, some interesting thoughts
Yes, a few tweeks
Probably one of those iconic books, that everyone should read, so that they can talk about it with all the other people who have read it
You will enjoy listening and learning to this book over and over!! You will understand more about the rich and how they become and stay rich! It's a great book!!
20 something loving personal development and financial learning.
of course, it was easy to follow and very motivational.
the rich dad, he was funny
yes, it made me dedicate myself to learning about investing.
read it, should change your thinking.
Computer Scientist, Reader, also likes well read audiobooks. Prefer mostly non-fiction, but also the occasional fictional series.
I would listen again to better focus on the primary themes and message.
I liked the personal stories of Robert Kiyosaki's youth and how they applied to how he dealt with his adult life.
This book can't really be handled in one sitting. I listened while travelling in my truck and found it entertaining enough to keep my interest, but not too intense for the road.
Highly recommended! I don't think a lot of debt is good due to the amount of risk, but I do like the attitude of not saying no, just saying how can I make this happen!
I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for motivation to ignore any excuses and doubts and take control of their own financial situation.
The use of the dichotomy of the"rich Dad" and the "poor Dad" to explain the differences in thinking and financial attitudes works perfectly.
This is much better than any other book about finance I have come across in the past simply because it is much less boring and actually quite entertaining. It was very refreshing to not be forced to wade through chapters upon chapters of mind numbing drudgery, as is the case with most books about financial matters.
After finishing Rich Dad Poor Dad I experienced a renewed enthusiasm to work towards financial freedom. It presents the information in a manner which is easy for the layman to understand and digest, and is very effective in leaving the reader feeling energized and enthusiastic.
Priceless words of wisdom about money and finance.
Great read. Must be read. the story is very nice. and the content is very rich.
Robert - Yes
Tim - No
The narrator was constantly swallowing and making disgusting noises when he wasn't talking. The noises are loud and extremely unpleasant, especially when listening on earphones.
The content was good.
"Fantastic book!! Very useful"
The narration of the book is really fantastic, Tim Wheeler has great voice.I also like different topics that are covered around this book. It gives an idea of how we can train our children about finance and also there is a lot adults can learn and think about the financial information provided in this book. Author has not only gave us thought process but also gave an idea of how to start with it. It changed my perspective of thinking towards money, rich people and managing our finances.
An inspirational book. Recommend this book highly if you want to learn how to take control of your finances and make money work for you!!!
I haven't finished listening to this book yet and one of the reasons it's taking me a long time to get through is that it's read in a very monotonous tone, which makes the material feel more boring than it needs to.
But I also have problems with the content of the book, since the author spends so much time telling us to accumulate assets instead of liabilities, but doesn't really get down to the nuts and bolts of how to do that, which is frustrating.
"Practical Principles with a Personable Delivery"
This book is for you if you are starting your journey in financial education.
The audio is of a high standard but most importantly the narrative offers a personable friendly approach.
Although the subject matter maybe a bit dry the author and narrator have created a piece of work that will keep you engaged, entertained and enthused during your listen and weeks after.
A great listen.
At the very least add it to your wish list.
"Expected better with all the hype around this book"
Story was boring and just sounded like the authour was looking for a platform to just blow his own trumpet. Watsed my time.
Understanding the difference between 'classes' and assets/liabilities for me personally. I thought the whole book was good as an audio book.
"The narrator doesn't doesn't do it justice!"
This one of the best Audio books I have ever owned, this is what got me started in the self help and personal development journey.
The narrator is not very enthusiastic and ruins this book for me.
"Great content and superb lessons contained here.."
The lessons and stories are highly valuable to anyone in any situation, Young or old, worker drone or the unemployed. Some home truths here make you realise that back in the 50's is pretty much exactly the way life is today, especially since the financial crash.
To make it a 5 star, fundamentally the narration needs to be significantly improved. Having recently listened to the Woodcutter they are worlds apart in terms of engaging the listener based on the narrator. That aside.. the content and way the lessons are told are very engaging and memorable. Which is unusual for for a self help kind of book.
Paced, recumbent, consistent
Get it, listen to it and make some notes. Both about yourself and the things you could change. Also make sure your kids listen to this !
A wonderfully narrated book full of life changing ideas and suggestions. My horizons are widened and I am excited for the future of my business and my life. Highly reccommended - I'm currently working through the rest of Robert Kiyosaki' s books, I can't get enough!
"Really eye opening! Acquire assests."
I wouldn't say it was better than the print cope, just more accessible. You can't drivev and read, but you can listen to an audio book whilst driving. Great for busy people. I use the book lke notebook/school book.
Cut out some of the 'rich dad said this' & 'I said that'. It went on for far too long. I don't believe a 10 year old can remember conversations word for word from 10 or 20 years ago, it vecane annoying.
I'm alot like poor dad - lots of degrees certificates on the wall , high salary, large house and was about to treat myself to a Porsche for my 40th - not now! Time to buy assests not acquire more liabilities. My wife thinks I'm having mid-life crisis. No - my eyes are just open and the clock is ticking.
