This may be the best business book that describes the competitive advantages of profitable businesses. Since its subject matter has proven success, Moats may become a useful practical text in businesses schools around the world. Overall, the book was just OK. Quite repetitive, and once you heard about 2-3 companies, everything was the same.
Biggest complaint though was the audio quality. It sounded like it was recorded in some guy's basement. COUNTLESS mispronunciations, and grammatical mistakes. The guy messed up so many times, it made it nearly impossible to listen. There were major errors and gaps in the audio where the reader made a mistake, but no one ever edited it out. By far the lowest quality audio I have ever heard on Audible.
"Some useful info, but mostly pointless"
Lots of repetition, no real analysis. A few of the case studies were interesting but most were just regurgitated basic facts that gave really little insight. The voiceover was relatively poor too. Overall a waste of money.
"A very useful book."
Top ten. Absolutely fantastic book with a lot of very useful info. I keep getting back to this book every time I need to make sure I know what the moat is and means for any company.
I was impressed by specification of all examples of moats.
No, I didn't. It was very good.
I love this book for enormous contribution to anyone interesting in understanding what a moat means for the companies .
Thank you .
