As with all tech, much of the material is now suddenly outdated - such as the Flip camera and a handful of suggested websites. However, the overview of the video landscape is helpful. For most novice users, purchasing the Kindle or paper versions would prove more useful in it's technical nature. I found the review of software and gear helpful. I'd love to focus more on the marketing aspect in future releases.
This audio is somewhat dry & long because the author describes most every type of camera, lighting system and sound system used for video. I wanted to know quick short cuts about video and editing not model numbers and ratings... Was not what i expected.
"Not what I thought"
I purchased this book because I wanted to learn about getting my business on video and then learning of any tricks that would give me better exposure but this wasn't the case.
If you want to listen to someone spend forever telling you about the various types of cameras on the market and how to use them, then this is for you.
if you want to listen to how to upload to various video hosting sites and what button to press, this is for you.
if you want to listen to one person conducting an interview that is extremely boring, then this is for you.
I got to chapter 4 and then I gave up. I briefly listened to the first couple of minutes of the other chapters but I had already lost the will to live.
This book really didn't do it for me but hey, it might work for you?
