Publisher's summary

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to fight fire.

There’s no high like rushing into a burning building, knowing you could save a life.

Ever since I met Pepper, I’ve only put her in danger.

But even that knowledge can’t keep me away.

She’s everything I never knew I needed.

Kind, brave, and never hesitates to put me in my place.

But someone isn’t happy I’ve found a place with her.

As the threats close in around us, I have a choice to make.

Give up everything I’ve dreamed or lose the woman who has made me whole.

The fires are closing in.

Time is running out.

And we might both be burned to ashes.

From USA Today best-selling author Grahame Claire comes the gripping conclusion to the Crash & Burn Duet.

Narrated by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell.

Soooo good!!!!

Well, I’m exhausted. 13 hours of non stop listening to finish the duet. I just couldn’t stop or pause. It’s just that good. And the narration? It’s the king and queen of f*ck. 5 stars. All the stars…

Why am I still left hanging? 🫣

Fear not, Teague and Pepper get their ending in this book. But the next sibling on spotlight leaves us all hanging.

With that massive cliffy in Crash, we continue on with all the crazy circumstances in the lives of both Pepper and Teague. There is definitely a mystery to be solved and fast because more and more people are dying. While I had guessed early on who the culprit was, the why was a bit out of left field and shocked me. A bit psychotic, but also very interesting. The love story between the two was such a slow burn, but spoke of both their backgrounds and was just right.

A really good story! Performance was spot on!

Loved this slow burn romantic suspense

Hot firefighter meets greyhound rescuer in book 2 of this slow-burn, romantic suspense duet. I totally enjoyed it and plowed right into book two after staying up to finish book 1 (Crash). Excellent narration. Plot wise, I appreciated the relationship build up instead of instalove for a change and the mystery was captivating. It’s a PG romance with some kisses and no open door scenes.

Why is this a "Romance"?

Book 1 left you with a major cliffy, which I hate. So, here we are book 2. This book is a suspenseful and ahas some mystery. Who is setting all the arson fires?! This was the slooooowest burn series I've ever read. There was VERY little romance, no touching, NO SEX (in either book), hardly any kissing. Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell put on a steller performance as always, but this was not something I expected from either of them, and was kinda disappointed. This duet is NOT worth the credits.
