Great starter for beginners

Fantastic Book. As a neurologist, I have spent the past three years studying and understanding many mindfulness and acceptance techniques that have their foundation in Buddhism and have been clinically proven to have pervasive health benefits. Principles of Secular Buddhism can be applied by anyone, regardless of religious belief.

Great for beginning Buddhist

This is a very good introductory book about Buddhism. This book is written in a simple language and easy to listen. It would be nice to have a glossary of English translation of the ancient words at the back of the book.

Perfect for therapists!

I have meditated for a few years, and have attended a ten day Vipassana retreat/course, so I am not new to meditation. But when asked by friends about the essence of mindfulness, I have always found it difficult to do so.

Quick but needs some context

I have read only a few pages of this book. I began reading this at a very critical phase of my life. The little that I listen encouraged me and helped to strengthen my belief in the power of the creator. The power of the creator resides within me with whom I am linked.

Perfect place to start inquiry into Buddhism

Originally, I downloaded a sample of the book. I didn't get that much out of the sample. After completing the sample there was some information about a podcast by the author. I decided to give it a listen while working around the house.

I wish I could give it ten stars

. Namely - to get our genes into the next generation. As such, the psychological evolution of human beings has also been shaped by this drive. Generally speaking, human beings want more. More power, more money, more stuff.
