Each book is well written with engaging characters and an entertaining plot. I love this series and look forward to the next book.

Another great story

Like all the others in this series, I loved this book. The characters are well-developed and likable. The story itself is entertaining and realistic. Can't wait for the next one!

best cozy mystery series!!

Another great addition to the series. I love the adventures of Skye, Wally & the rest of Scumble River!! These books feel like home to me, like comfort food for the brain & soul. And Christine Leto is the perfect narrator for Skye! She brings Skye to life and lets her spunk shine. Thank you Denise for writing some of my favorite literary characters!

great series!

I love this series: the characters, the performance by Ms Hickman, the plotting and the author's clear understanding of the demands of classrooms and students.

My only wish would be that the author ramp back on the number of antagonists in given titles and, even more importantly, make her antagonists somewhat less one dimensional. Putting that H.S. principal, that district superintendent, and that English teacher together in one volume is tough to deal with.

I find myself wondering how, in the real world, they would manage to keep faculty (ESPECIALLY special education faculty, given the severe shortages in those positions) and support employed, and imagining the lawsuits that staff would likely file!

Can’t wait for more. Christine Leto does a great job bringing the characters Denise Swanson handcrafted, to life. I recommend this entire series, and author to anyone who loves cozy mysteries. “Scumble River” is my home away from home! Graciously waiting for book number 24!

Great story with nasal narrator

Loved the story as always. But the narrator had the worst nasal voice. I found it very distracting. I’ll avoid all future books she narrates.
