Second chances
I really enjoyed this story! Pepper is a woman who’s life has not gone the way she expected as a college sophomore. Things were hidden and lies were told. Now 20 years later, everything is coming out from the dark and her life wasn’t at all what it seemed.
This story had many twist and turns that I wasn’t expecting. Told with flashbacks and present day, I enjoyed that it was told from a few different views. I cannot wait to start the next installment!

First time Author and Narrator
When I jumped into the story I enjoyed most of it. There were times when I was confused as there are constant flashbacks. With a solo narrator it was hard to focus on some of the story. There were a lot of layers. I liked that there were elements that are new and fresh. I did know going in that it is a book one. Feel like a lot of things were repeated that was not necessary, Will listen to the book 2 to see what happens.
