Publisher's summary

A mysterious crack appears in the sky. Anyone who looks directly at it goes blind. What's worse, they also turn insane, with a vicious urge to kill.

As the crack grows bigger, more people are transformed into "blinders". The authorities struggle to keep things from spiraling.

But there's no cure. No prevention. Not even an explanation.

Only blind fate.

Convoluted Post-Apocalyptic Story

I was entertained by book 6 in the "Under The Breaking Sky" series as much as the earlier books. The story has become more complex with each succeeding book, and I recommend that the books be read in order. Each book picked up where the last book left off, and each showed changes in character development as the series progressed. I have become very wrapped up in the characters, and the events that happened to them. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Spencer Dillehay's narration has been great, and his performance has contributed to my enjoyment of the series. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Under the Breaking Sky takes on a new dimension

As I travel along this journey through the Under the Breaking Sky series Blind Fate gives me the impression I’ve been treated to a verbal/prose orchestra. Up until this book the reader has witnessed all the players showing up, tuning their instruments, playing some basic songs until suddenly the music takes on a frenzied pace. Blind Fate takes the series on its journey to an unspecified destination by introducing jealousy and hurt into the mix. What will result from these emotions experienced by one member of the group are yet to be seen, furthermore deception regarding the appearance of ghosts or the banishment of ghosts begins to take center stage.

All this underlying tension and plenty of action moves this story along in a way the furthers this reader’s addiction to Under the Breaking Sky. Thank goodness I have the last two audio books just waiting to be listened to as soon as this review is written, Of course the addiction to these audiobooks I’ve spoken of previously is enabled by Spencer Dillehay’s exceptional talents as a narrator.
