Publisher's summary

Scorned by her family. Banished by her kind. Hunted by zealots.

Where does an exiled Fairy Queen hide?

A remote mountain cabin, the seedy underbelly of a metropolis, or an uninhabited island. All would be good choices, however, after hundreds of years on the run, the daughter of Oberon, King of the Wild Fairies, signs a binding contract with the zealots that hunt her. In exchange, they allow her to settle down in the last place anyone would look for fairy royalty.

Adopting the name Grace Ann Bryant, the Queen buys a double-wide and moves into a trailer park in the one-horse town of Shady Grove, Alabama. Her contract requires her to lend aid to the local sheriff, Dylan Riggs, when supernatural problems arise.

But when two children go missing, the humans point to the trailer park queen helping the sheriff, and the zealots point at the exiled fairy. Grace must decide whether to fight for her innocence or break her contract returning to life on the run.

Bless Your Heart is a southern urban fantasy that will make you laugh, cry, and laugh until you cry, as Grace wrestles with the dark fairy inside herself and starts to see that she’s more than just trailer trash.

I really liked this!

Kimbra Swain puts a new spin on paranormal! Grace is a fairy queen... who lives in a small town in the south...in a trailer park. She has spent her time there helping the sheriff, whom she falls for but won’t let herself have because he’s human and she doesn’t want to hurt him.

When things start to happen in the small town, she works harder to find a killer... lots of things happen and she finds out not all is as it seems. Can she live with what has happened? Can she make things better or should she leave?

I really enjoyed this! Kiera Stevens was excellent with the narration of this story!!

I’m glad I was determined to listen

I’m from the south and I’m VERY familiar with *countryspeak*. I had difficulties getting comfortable with Keira’s cadence. I started over at least four times. Keira started speaking a tad to fast. I tried to adjust to a slower speed but the echo was horrendous. I believe Keira was getting comfortable with her characters and found her rhythm. I’m very glad that I’m stubborn and stuck with the story. By the beginning of the second chapter I remember thinking that I liked this book. The characters are quirky and are being introduced. The plot had aspects that surprised me. I’m definitely going to read the rest of this series. I know that I’m going to find these characters to be friends of this reader. I love when a book pulls you in and you feel as if you’re part of the story. I wanted to join in the conversations. I hope in the future books that Kimbra goes into detail about the different characters abilities. There are so many directions this series can go and I can’t wait for my adventures in Shady Grove to continue.

I said , He said........

I picked this title because I thought it might a funny edge to it . It did start out that way . But I was quickly thrown off by the over use of " I said , he said "
The narrator did a good job and played the parts well .
I'm not sure I will go any farther in this series .

Great Story & Listen🎧 Enjoyable & Entertaining!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it is well written and well told. Kimbra Swain created an imaginative world with equally imaginative supernatural beings who live amongst ordinary humans. The interesting storylines are original and entertaining, they captivated me from start to end. Her characters are complex and well developed, Grace is an exiled Fairy Queen living in a double wide in a trailer park in Alabama. She has a great sense of humor and has settled in to her life comfortably even started talking like a true southerner. But after the local sheriff, Dylan, asks her to help located missing children all starts to go wrong for her and something is not right in Shady Grove. This is one action-packed story, there is drama, twists, suspense, mystery and quite a few laugh out loud moments. I loved how everything played out, the author did a wonderful job plotting out this story, keeping the reader/listener guessing and taking them to the edge of their seats at times. It was great to see what powers Grace has within, also great to see her coming to her own and seeing the world as she should. She has some amazing characters by her side, including Levi who I just adored. Kimbra Swain, thank you for this amazing story and making supernatural seem so real.

I listened to the Audible edition, Keira Stevens is a terrific narrator and voice performer. She brings these characters to life, gives each their own unique voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. She is great with the accents too. You can hear the emotions of the characters projected in her her performance and she is awesome with the Grace’s witty dialogue. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧

Sweet, Sexy & Southern

Okay, I take great offense to that one negative review based on promiscuity. Blacklist? Really?!? This was so tame, hardly ANYTHING happened besides a few kisses. Then the only steamy scene was of a fond memory. Also, this is the first time I've listened to Keira Stevens without a British accent (loved her work for Rina Kent's "Royal Elite" series). She does a good job with the Southern accent (though I'm curious, do they really say *v-hickle*?).

As for the story, Levi completely stole my heart; same goes for Winnie. If only Grace would have went for him instead... (That's the reason why I docked a star. That, and I absolutely hated Amanda. :P) Overall, I would definitely listen to the next book. Fifteen in all in this series, lawdy I hope they'll all be released as audiobooks too. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Fairies & the deep south, what's not to love?!

It's such an odd and unexpected combination - a Fae queen who lives in a trailer park and speaks with a thick southern drawl? But it just... works, somehow. Such a fun book that will make you question everything you think you know! #AudiobookObsession #AuralFixation

Fun, funny, and heartwarming

I really love Urban Fantasy. I also love comedy. When the two can meld, I find my happy place. Ive been hearing about these books for a while, but I'd put them off because they weren't in audio. My tbr list for books I actually have the time or inclination to read is astronomical. I have lots of time to listen, though, and most of that time is filled with the neverending chores of living in a house with a workaholic and two teenagers. The humor and fantasy helps me cope. This book hooked me so hard, I didn't even pause to review before I had book two downloaded! I literally JUST finished book two. I love the characters and the story. I love the narrator. This series found me at a perfect place in my life, and I'm gonna stop here and tell the world before I start book three. Highly recommend, even to my dad, because the sex isn't too explicit.

outstanding!

The narrator is perfect. Having already read the book, I knew what was going to happen; however the narrator brings the story to life. Fairy folk, love, loss, family & good old southern life from the food, manners, colloquialisms, & trailer park highjinx are found in every chapter. If you like urban fantasy mixed with fairy tales and comedy this is the book for you. Highly recommend!
