Publisher's summary

The senator. The girl. The accident.

Oates creates an unforgettable allegory about power, morals, and ambition. The ghost of an American tragedy is resurrected in order to give voice to its silenced victim - an idealistic young woman too easily seduced by a Camelot fairy tale.

Book was amazing ...

but the narrator made it difficult. She read it like a romance, breathy voice and inhales. This would have been better to just read myself

interesting but maybe not for audio

good take on what happened at chappaquiddick. interesting perspective. bad reading. I finished because it was well written and of interest to me but the reader was very hard to take. first time I've ever said anything about any of the readers on audible. maybe you will like her better than me.

Weird voice

This person's voice is really not ideal for audio books. her interpretation of the senator's voice is weird!
