Jaime Primak Sullivan, a Jersey-bred, tough-as-nails PR maven - and unlikely transplant in an upscale suburb of Birmingham, Alabama - has spent her entire life crossing the line: whether she's pushing the boundaries of what proper Southern ladies consider to be "polite behavior" or literally traversing the Mason-Dixon line in the name of love. She isn't afraid to say what everyone is thinking when it comes to love, sex, friendship, and many other topics that are all too often sugar-coated in polite Southern company. But when a meet-cute scenario right out of a Nora Ephron movie upends her life, Jaime finds herself a reluctant "knish out of water", smack-dab in the Deep South, starting a life with her new husband, the perfect Southern gentleman.
In The Southern Education of a Jersey Girl, Jaime shares hard-learned lessons on Southern etiquette, deep-fried foods, college football, and matters of the heart while living in the heart of Dixie, with her quintessential ball-busting and side-splitting Jersey twist.

"Sullivan's self-deprecating humor makes her a comfortable, chatty companion.... It's hard to resist Sullivan's spunky, outgoing personality." (Kirkus)
I can't begin to explain how thankful I am that God put Jamie in my life, in our lives. Jamie, if you're reading this, THANK YOU. I love you and your family. Thanks for not only sharing your life in your book with us but for sharing it on Facebook, YouTube and all other Social Media.
Even though I pre-ordered this book I just didn't have a chance to sit down and read it being a mother of three and working two full-time jobs and owning a horse so I bought it off of audible.com and listened to it on my way to and from work...and then I ended up bringing in it in the house with me and listening to it until the book was over!!! I loved and appreciated the honest story of her life and also the fact that she was the boys I could hear her emotion much better than if another boys had narrated her book... I'm a fan for life thank you Jaime for this gift
Avid reader who has been enjoying listening to books on my commute home in the Washington, D.C. area
Fun book to listen to and brought me back to my Jersey roots, from another girl married to a southern gentleman
I am a huge fan of Cawfeetalk! I love this woman-she is so real and hysterical. I laughed out loud and sobbed all within the first few chapters. She's real and no bullshit. The whole time she's talking about her & Michaels dynamic I kept thinking, oh my gosh this is me and my husband. Then when I realized that we were both Libras a light bulbs went off! Jaime you are my soul sister. Get this book, you won't be disappointed
This book made me laugh, made me cry and made me realize how truly wonderful differences in people are and how to recognize the beauty that is difference. Jaime, as always, is refreshingly open and honest. If you are wanting to meet a friend through her words, grab The Southern Education of a Jersey girl and read it, then enjoy your coffee and relish the learning from your new friend in Cawfeetawk!
Have never watched an episode of jersey belle so you don't have to be a fan of that show. I have read this book and. Ow have listened to it. I love it because it is so raw and real. Any mom, wife, friend, or daughter could relate.
This is one of my favorite audio books so far, along with one of my favorites from Dolly Parton. Jamie is hypnotic to listen to and I could not put it down. There is so much going on and I truly love her forthright honesty. Humility, sincerity and love are major components in this book.
Please keep writing! Would love to hear more from you!
I listen to Jaime's videos on you tube and they bring me such joy. They are honest and raw and real... like love/hate pretty/ugly real. The daily issues and feelings women have in various flavors and intensity. When hearing about the book on audible and that Jaime narrated it, I had to have it. It's the voice inflection that adds to the depth of feeling in all her journeys. I think it's called 'Jersey'
