Jaime Primak Sullivan, a Jersey-bred, tough-as-nails PR maven - and unlikely transplant in an upscale suburb of Birmingham, Alabama - has spent her entire life crossing the line: whether she's pushing the boundaries of what proper Southern ladies consider to be "polite behavior" or literally traversing the Mason-Dixon line in the name of love. She isn't afraid to say what everyone is thinking when it comes to love, sex, friendship, and many other topics that are all too often sugar-coated in polite Southern company. But when a meet-cute scenario right out of a Nora Ephron movie upends her life, Jaime finds herself a reluctant "knish out of water", smack-dab in the Deep South, starting a life with her new husband, the perfect Southern gentleman.
In The Southern Education of a Jersey Girl, Jaime shares hard-learned lessons on Southern etiquette, deep-fried foods, college football, and matters of the heart while living in the heart of Dixie, with her quintessential ball-busting and side-splitting Jersey twist.

"Sullivan's self-deprecating humor makes her a comfortable, chatty companion.... It's hard to resist Sullivan's spunky, outgoing personality." (Kirkus)
This book made me laugh, made me cry and made me realize how truly wonderful differences in people are and how to recognize the beauty that is difference. Jaime, as always, is refreshingly open and honest. If you are wanting to meet a friend through her words, grab The Southern Education of a Jersey girl and read it, then enjoy your coffee and relish the learning from your new friend in Cawfeetawk!
Was looking forward to listening to this audiobook. Unfortunately, it was dreadfully boring. I definitely wouldn't want to emulate her marriage!!!
I can't begin to explain how thankful I am that God put Jamie in my life, in our lives. Jamie, if you're reading this, THANK YOU. I love you and your family. Thanks for not only sharing your life in your book with us but for sharing it on Facebook, YouTube and all other Social Media.
Revealing, emotional, honest
Michael...because I was trying to figure him out just like Jaime was. He's very intriguing.
No, this is a first book. But as far as Cawfee Talk on FB, I'm a follower.
When Jaime got the call about her Dad passing and how she felt for not being there.
I laughed, I cried, I screamed. I felt like one of her girlfriends she would confide all these things to sitting indian style on a couch with a glass of wine or cup of coffee.
I loved this book.
Even though I pre-ordered this book I just didn't have a chance to sit down and read it being a mother of three and working two full-time jobs and owning a horse so I bought it off of audible.com and listened to it on my way to and from work...and then I ended up bringing in it in the house with me and listening to it until the book was over!!! I loved and appreciated the honest story of her life and also the fact that she was the boys I could hear her emotion much better than if another boys had narrated her book... I'm a fan for life thank you Jaime for this gift
I got this book on audible as soon as my free credit was available! I love Listening to her, and knew I couldn't come close to imagining how she would say the things she said in the book if I only read her words. I was hooked right away. Riding my mower and listening, wishing I had a bigger yard. Admittedly I struggled with her experience with her father. A little too close to my own experience, I had to shut it off for a couple days. I came back to it, however, knowing it would be worth getting through the tough parts. And it was. I felt like I was there with her, sharing her emotions, learning from her. Amazing book and I'm so glad she shared her life with the world.
This book is amazing, Jaime. It is relatable, funny, emotional and most of all legitimately raw and real. It's hard being married and it's hard being a woman but to have another perspective to relate to is so comforting. Thank you! If I could give 10 stars, I would!
