Publisher's summary

From the outrageously filthy and oddly innocent comedienne and star of the powerful 2015 film I Smile Back Sarah Silverman comes a memoir—her first book—that is at once shockingly personal, surprisingly poignant, and still pee-in-your-pants funny. If you like Sarah's television show The Sarah Silverman Program, or memoirs such as Chelsea Handler's Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea and Artie Lange's Too Fat to Fish, you'll love The Bedwetter.

Critic reviews

"Silverman takes readers on a tour of the underground tunnel that is her mind, and believe me, it is as full of muck as the sewers of Paris. Only funnier....[A]n absurdist’s delight." ( Booklist)

Surprisingly poignant

I had no idea Sarah Silverman had been through so much bad stuff! This is a unique memoir, mixing the sense of humor you'd expect from Silverman with an engaging story and worldview. It's a good listen if you're a fan of her work or if you just find her interesting.

Laugh out loud funny, but...

Sarah is a great narrator and many of the stories were very funny and poignant, but the detailed description of each season of the show, and the participants was a little tedious. At times it seemed like an extended "acknowledgements" page. Overall, a worthwhile listen. Sarah is a true comic genius.

Funny Shit!

I love this audiobook as I was giggling the whole way through. Doing the impressions of her father had me rolling, Thanks for that.

strong beginning, personal and professional memior

growing up stories, her early stand up and her show! i learned a lot about her personal and professional life. as other reviewers say, it kinda fizzles near the end in a 'where are they now' kinda deal about the writers on her show. but i enjoyed three-quarters of the book and that was worth it. i guess if there's an abridged version, go with that. stories od her upbringing, the NY comics she hangs with and what a wild environment the Sarah Silverman Show was!

Can I get a sequel!

I hope Sarah writes another one soon! It feels as though she skimmed some stories and has a million more. I'm happy she read her own story!

Sarah Silverman is hilarious

I have to confess that I'm not the biggest fan of /actual/ scatalogical humor, but Sarah writing a book about being a poop and sex jokes loving is all kinds of fun. Being a dorky kid who bloomed late and subsequently banged the rounds both cracked me up, and hit home. We're not alone! Here's to big naturals.

tip top tomfoolery

Humanizing one of the most delightfully crude women to ever grace my television screen; her book was fun, sweet, and inspiring as well.

Funny, inappropriate, heart-warming

Sarah is hilarious. But this book has more than just her usual silliness. It is an endearing tale, providing some good insight into a successful comedienne.
