Publisher's summary

Stori Telling is a chance for Tori to set the record straight on her personal life and to let listeners experience the truly unique life she's led - with its undeniable childhood privileges, tabloid misperceptions, career successes, and personal regrets. This is Tori's opportunity to define herself on her own terms.

Whereas her VH1 show So Notorious was brilliant, self-effacing satire, her memoir directly showcases the tabloid lies and scrutiny, her family and childhood (including a tour through the infamous Spelling mansion), her marriages, her scandalous divorce, her experiences as a new mom, and the empowering humor that stems from a private life made public caricature.

Few actresses have a personal story that's more unique and full of twists and drama than their roles. Tori's bestselling tell-all memoir is a juicy, eye-opening volume every bit as enthralling and addictive as one of her father's smash series.

Entertaining

If you are at all a fan of Tori Spelling then you should enjoy both her books Stori Telling and Mommywood. Gives you a small glimpse into the life of a celebrity and reinforces that age old saying money doesn't buy happiness (or the love of your own mother apparently).
Narrated by the author it was an entertaining way to waste 5 and a half hours.

Overall, a satisfying read

For those on the extreme, they won’t get their wishes. Those that want this book to be nothing but a spoiled rich kid will be disappointed. Likewise, those that are hoping the lady who came from access is suddenly Mother Teresa won’t be happy, either. It’s definitely somewhere in the middle, and it varies depending on the story and the time/era. But give her credit: Tori comes off honest, and is most times accountable for her actions (sometimes including the ones she didn’t necessarily think were bad moves originally). It’s a mix of all of these, and it’s an entertaining read.

Pleasantly surprised

If you could sum up Stori Telling in three words, what would they be?

funny, engaging, and entertaining

What does Tori Spelling bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

As the narrator, it felt more like you two were sitting on a cozy couch having a conversation or engaging in

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I read/listened to this book in one sitting...Tori Spelling was actually a great narrator.

Music???

At certain points there is music playing in the background while Tori is narrating. It is so distracting and I kept losing my focus. Other than that I liked the book. But please OMG. Do not add background music to audiobooks, I beg.

Good to get a peek in her world.

It was good to get to know her world but was a bit uncomfortable learning about her relationship with her mother or lack of. Not sure her Mothers affair was hers to tell as she would say to Deans story to tell.
