Damn funny. Especially considering the subject.

I like books that make me laugh out loud in the car. "Shrinkage" got me on the first minute. The story is inspiring, but the writing is masterful comedy.

Bryan Bishop is the author as well as the reader and he is brilliant. His career as Adam Carolla's radio/podcast sidekick has trained him well. His timing is good and his voice is clear. The emotional side of the book is much more powerful knowing the man reading is the one that experienced the story first hand.

I listen to a lot of audio books. This is one of the very best.

As a fan of the Adam Carolla Show, Im always impressed by Bryan's quick-witted comments and even quicker sound drops, not to mention his movie reviews... But this bald sumbitch had me tearing-up left and right for hours as he told his own personal story of life, love, and possible death.

I liked Bryan's story. He has been through a lot and has such a great attitude that he is inspirational.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Shrinkage?

It was great to hear the other voices of the readers. Christie's and Adam's voices were a nice addition.

I laughed and cried so many times. Adam only makes me laugh so more bang for your buck. Thanks fir sharing your story Bryan. God bless Christy as well and no offense but you married up...big time.

it made me laugh, cry it is a great story and a great book. It was interesting to see the relationship aspects and a look behind the curtain.

Bald Bryan hit a home run!!!

To be honest, I have never had to deal with close loved one with cancer. Thankfully! But Bryan wrote it in such away that I had to listen to the whole book in one sitting! Never new how talented of a writer Bald Bryan was till now!

What did you love best about Shrinkage?

I love the mix of humor with the serious - the bitter mixed with the sweet made it a very enjoyable read.

What does Bryan Bishop bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I like hearing the story from the mouth of the person who actually wrote the book and experienced the events. Since I listen to him on the podcast he works for, it would be weird if someone else read the book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both! I especially love the advice given throughout the book. Cancer is not something I or anyone close to me is dealing with right now, but statistically I assume this will happen at some point in the future. It was helpful to hear about his experience and get some tips on how to handle such tragic circumstances.

A detailed, passionate and interesting Memoir.

What made the experience of listening to Shrinkage the most enjoyable?

Such a personal story should always be read by the author, because the passion to tell the story comes through so much stronger, as is the case with Shrinkage. Also, the use of other audio and readers for emphasis was really nice.

What did you like best about this story?

I really appreciated the "full disclosure" element. Bryan didn't hold back anything, and I do mean anything.

Which character – as performed by Bryan Bishop – was your favorite?

This really isn't applicable, as when Bryan was speaking he wasn't really performing any characters. His wife Christie, on the other hand, is an absolute dream to listen to and I loved the portions of the book when she voiced her own stories.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I definitely listened to it in long sessions, probably longer than most books I have listened to. It is very interesting and pulls you in.

Wether you're a fan of Bryan's work on The Adam Carolla show or you've never even heard of him, this story will make you laugh, cry and appreciate a very difficult journey that a young man has faced.

Exceptional

A very, very good story of Brian and family's trials of dealing with his tumor. If you don't cry at certain points you most certainly will get choked up. You can feel the overwhelming love and support from his wife. Absolutely amazing.
