Inspirational and Informative
Excellent narration outstanding prose, and one hell of a survival story. I found the entire sequence describing the buds training and hell week to be both intense and informative. A wonderful read that was hard to put down.

Greatest Book
It broke my heart to hear this mans story. As a combat veteran I have an understanding on a much much less scale. I have a profound appreciation for Marcus, his team and brotherhood. Leave it to a man of his caliber to minimize his injuries and experience but know full well behind this story is a man who lived through hell over and over. I had to keep reminding myself that it is not just a "story" it is real. I kept hoping for a better outcome and found myself wanting to help. I was so consumed by this book and story line that I could see what he saw and felt his words. I'm afraid to see the movie because it will likely not live up to Marcus's words.

One of the best!
I throughly enjoyed reading this book, watching the movie, and now listening to the audible version. Hearing this being narrated takes you on a deeper emotional journey. I highly recommend the book - but even more suggest the audible version. A heartfelt thanks to all of the enlisted men and women who serve our country.
