Inspiring, heartfelt, thrilling

Marcus and his team made the ultimate sacrifice asked of them by their country; and therefore I regard his story as required reading for any patriot.

A true hero

This was more than just an audiobook story about the challenges of the military. It was about a life of honor, valor, integrity, commitment and love of this country. The reader expertly executed the right tones of voice and cadence to make you feel as if you are connected to the events as they take place. I will definitely listen a second and never forget those who’ve died for our freedoms.

Honor

Marcus and his men, They stand for everything that America really is at our core. They have our highest and utmost respect.

Narrator was Terrible

This is a great book, I have read the physical copy before and loved it, however, the narrator (Kevin Colllins) was awful. I understand that Marcus Luttrell is from texas and most likely spoke with a southern accent, but this was downright unbearable. The accent was very obviously faked and the Collins can't even pronounce Saddam Hussein correctly. I can't listen to it anymore.

Amazing story, the movie didn't do it justice. A most read if you've seen the movie.

America you owe it to yourself

To experience Marcus’s story. I’m a 60 yr young woman and I think this is the best book I’ve ever bought. The raw emotion and truth in his story, it’s so well written and really puts you on that mountain with him. I do believe each and every American should hear it. You owe it to your country and your soul to understand what happened out there so far from home. I wish more veterans out there would or could tell their story to America so we can have more information in our arsenals than we get from the mainstream media or military reports.
I highly recommend it!

Great Read

I loved this book from the beginning to the end. The soldiers described in the book are true hero's.
