BEST BOOK IVE EVER READ

absolutely the most intense book I have ever read. I've watched the movie a few times but wanted the first hand experience and holy shit was I impressed.

Ultimate story of valor, gallantry, and how to stay mentally tough

I have often been recommended to read this. Now, I understand why. No doubt, this is one of my very favorite books of all time now. It teaches how mentally tough it takes to be a Navy seal, and at the same time helps me understand my own limits are much greater than I ever thought before.

Great read.

Spot on with identifying terrible journalism. Traditional news outlets are good for pushing agendas and nothing more.

Harrowing

An amazing story of bravery and the SEAL brotherhood. The details of the battle on Murphy’s Ridge were heroic, shocking and heartbreaking. Surviving the ordeal was clearly, as concluded by the author, an act of God.

The chapters are way too long, and should have been broken up for ease of reading. The first half of the book was monotonous and redundant and could have been cut at least in half — too many details on BUDS training. The second half, beginning with the four SEALS landing for their mission was gripping and well-told. There was an excessive amount of foul language and badmouthing “liberal” Americans, which didn’t seem Christ-like for a professed Christian. This could have been toned WAY down or left out entirely.

The narrator was horrible and hard to listen to (in fact my husband had to stop listening.) His tone sounded more like an uneducated southern doofus instead of a well-trained and heroic navy SEAL.

Glad I listened but might prefer the movie.

Awesome story, true patriot!

I’m so proud to be an American and this story makes me feel even stronger. What he went through was so extreme and downright scary. All the more reason to protect America and many thanks for everything he and all the others have done.
However, his comments about Liberals was surprising. Instead of saying “Some people are very strong in their opinions on Americans following the Geneva Convention…” instead of labeling them Liberals. I’m a liberal and feel very strongly about our Military keeping America strong and protected. I do think we should fight back strongly and do what it takes without compromising the people who are fighting for us.
As a liberal I believe we should work together to take care of each other and everyone has a right to be whatever works for each person. Respect each others choices and be kind. And fight back as they fight with us.
