A perfect first hand account of what our American heroes do for us, gave me a renewed appreciation for all service men and women. One of the best books on the current wars out there!

What did you like best about this story?

Without spoiling the story, I loved the relationship he developed with the Afghani villagers.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

When his team members fell, I felt as though my own friends had fallen because their character had been described in so much detail.

Survival of the luckiest!

What made the experience of listening to Lone Survivor the most enjoyable?

The narrator really got into the action and dawned the shoes of the author. It was fast paced and engaging throughout.

What did you like best about this story?

As a sucker for details, the story provides sufficient details to visualize the story as it unfolds. The narrator made a big difference to the experience. He was literally living the exhibiting the emotions of the author. You would certainly mistake him for the author!

The story is about camaraderie. The gory details and the ultimate goal to survive makes up for a passionate listen. It was good to know about the various stakeholders in the story. It was intriguing to know the role faith played for both parties.

Which scene was your favorite?

The battle scene where the Taliban had cornered these men and the sequence of events that followed.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The pain and doom that wars bring is undeniable. Yet, mankind resorts to it to settle disputes. Nobody really wins by killing fellow beings.

Excellent action packed read that one can complete in one or two sessions. Go for it.

Loved it.

If you have a heart for the US Military you will love this book and will have tears in your eyes at the end.

Amazing Marcus survived.

I listened to this book in one sitting. Hard to believe Marcus survived everything he went through. The narration on the ausiobbok great and an easy listen. it's a relatively short book but %100 worth a listen.
