Military hero and beloved Dancing with the Stars alum Noah Galloway shares his life story and how losing his arm and leg in combat forced him to relearn how to live - and live to the fullest.
Inspirational, humorous, and thought provoking, Noah Galloway's Living with No Excuses sheds light on his upbringing in rural Alabama, his military experience, and the battle he faced to overcome losing two limbs during Operation Iraqi Freedom. From reliving the early days of life to his acceptance of his "new normal" after losing his arm and leg in combat, Noah reveals his ambition to succeed against all odds.
Noah's gripping story is a shining example that with laughter and the right amount of perspective, you can tackle anything. Whether it's overcoming injury, conquering the Dancing with the Stars ballroom, or taking the next steps forward in life with his young family, Noah demonstrates how to live life to the fullest, with no excuses.

Noah Galloway essentially has delivered a book that says " If your gonna like me like me for who I really am and not who you may think I am". This book is so interesting not because it's about his overcoming physical challenges but his honesty about his struggles as a man, husband, father and with his own personality. In the end its not so much about overcoming as coming to grips.
Really enjoyed this story. It's real life, no holding back here. Painful injuries and mistakes do not define you and that's Noah's message. What defines you is moving forward and attacking life all the while being thankful for all you have. That's what I got from Noah's message. Highly recommend this audiobook!
At times the author repeats whole conversations as he is flirting with women and it sounds like two teenager's talking to each other "So then I said", "So then she said", "So then I was like", "And then he goes". Not just once, a few times. These could easily be left on the cutting room floor and the book would be better for it.
Noah pulls back no punches in telling his story. He takes accountability for his actions both good and bad. He offers what he can to the reader and helps you to see your own vulnerabilities as he shares his story. Excellent book..
ABSOLUTELY, already have & will continue to do so. This is a raw & very truthful story of an everyday man with every day struggles, and then their multiplied....yet he refused to give up or give in. His inner strength, determination and will to overcome & rebuild himself to be the best man he can be for himself & for his children is one we could all take lessons from! A true Hero, for America and for his children!
Please make this a movie!!
As tough as it was, chapter 18 was my favorite. I'm a Veteran, a War Veteran, so I know exactly what that "operation" means to a soldier. I cried reading it, and I bawled listening to it! I felt chapter 18!

Such a huge boon and so many points you just have to read and listen for yourselves. I love his closing comments on these points:
Being humbled, thankful, Grafeful and ...
"FUELED to work harder to be worthy of such attention."
He also says "since my injuries, I've worn the armor of injured veterans."
I've heard a lot of Noah's story before but not all of this. Wow! Does have some bad language but nothing I wouldn't really expect from someone whose been to war and faced what he has. Listened to the whole book in one day, didn't want to put it down. Great book.
