I loved this book. I cried and laughed. i would recommend this book to everyone.

Heartwarming, funny, and compassionate

If one were to imagine a memoir on the topic of human trafficking, you would think it would be quite dreary. Connor turns a heart-wrenching topic into a heart-warming story of hope, perseverance and loving friendship. I hated to put it down, the few times I was forced to.

Best read of 2015!

Inspiring story, perfectly written! From the first words I was transported into the author's experience, and I emerge, as he did, a changed person. This book, this reading, is perfect in every way.

Great story. I wanted to keep listening. The author does a good job of narrating also.

Wonderful story.

About people who DO something about the sorrows of the world. These kids desperately needed people to bond with. To be there for them long term, and Grennan and his friends are doing that.

It feels like a first book, read by the author. I would not trade that out, though. Well worth reading!

Amazing story.

The author and his colleagues in Nepal and at Next Generation Nepal are an inspiration. This book is a must-read (must-listen?).

Touching and inspiring while conveying emotion

The book is very good and although sad at parts ends on a very happy note. The story doesn't shy away from telling the internal struggles of his position as an advocate for the children. It's a very good story and I recommend it to people looking for a nonfiction story that makes you feel good inside and inspires you do do more for the world and people around you.

Inspiring, Moving and Humbling

This story is awakening, and makes you realize how lucky you are to have the simplest of luxuries we take for granted. I was moved to tears listening to the struggles of these children, as well as laughing until I cried in sharing the joys and successes. What a powerful story!
