I always laugh with MM

I have enjoyed Michaels stand up for quite a while so definitely enjoyed his story. His voices/impressions are great and really add to the story (LOVE the big yin). His insecurities are fully described but he sees the humor as he reflects so their not to painful to the listener. If you enjoy his stand up you will enjoy this book

Didn’t Disappoint.

I’ve found this book truly wonderful. While I drove in my car, I laughed so hard so many times that my eyes filled with tears. Other drivers gave me strange looks. I’m sure they thought I was upset, but that was very far from the truth. The part of you hiding in the bushes nearly caused me to crash into the car in front of me. All I can say is please write more books. Laughter is truly food for the soul. Thank you.

BEST Narration of any audiobook...ever!

Would you listen to Life and Laughing again? Why?

Absolutely would listen to this again. The author/narrator has such a wonderful outlook on life, he can find humor even in hard times.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Life and Laughing?

I love how McIntyre opens the first few chapters by chiding the listener for being "too lazy" to read the book for themselves; there are other comments that he makes while reading that seem to be spontaneous as well. The delivery is so natural, so fresh and authentic.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to almost half in one sitting, then the rest the following day.

A Good Laugh

Having Michael himself read the book makes it all the better and just makes the stories from his life even funnier. Very enjoyable.

So much better than reading the book

This is thus far, the best audio book that I have listened to. Full stop.

Having Michael tell you his story makes you feel like you're making a lifelong friend as you experience his journey with him. The sad parts are crushing, the funny parts, uproariously hilarious. During those, and everywhere in between, you get a genuine feel for the man behind the story and how the people and events of his life have shaped him.

The opportunity afforded to the writer in narrating his own story is gloriously exploited with countless off-script ad-libs which enhance the experience immeasurably.

A genuine, unpretentious, modest and thoroughly entertaining insight into a national treasure of Britain. Bravo!

I read the book when it was first released and so couldn't wait to listen to the audio version. Michael brings the book to life and if you're anything like me, he'll have you laughing and crying in no time at all.
